Twitter Mocks Trump For Defending Tweets as ‘MODERN DAY PRESIDENTIAL’

President Trump is defending his social media habits tonight on Twitter, though it looks like there are a lot of people who aren’t impressed by the justification he used for his most recent tweets.
Trump’s tweets are facing re-doubled scrutiny due to his new online feud with MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough. The president has unleashed multiple tweetstorms throughout the day, and in his latest, he took swipes at the “fraudulent news media” while defending his social media activity.
At the end of his tangent, Trump issued this statement about his tweets:
My use of social media is not Presidential – it’s MODERN DAY PRESIDENTIAL. Make America Great Again!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 1, 2017
Plenty of people had mixed feelings about that, and they ridiculed Trump while noting how frequently he derails his own agenda with Twitter dramatics:
Perhaps the Annenberg School could offer Trump a distinguished professorship in modern day presidential communications to get him to resign. https://t.co/HY9LjSLmVk

It's also modern day presidential to have regular, full news conferences and cameras ON in the WH briefing room. Happy #4thofjulyweekend

In his day, Lincoln would have handwritten base insults on tiny slips of paper and distributed them widely. https://t.co/QMa9txNxg6

In all honesty, though, what does it say if attacking a female TV host for her looks is 'modern day presidential'? https://t.co/9UUV19FxCe

I think he crossed his arms and stomped his foot after this one. https://t.co/hQB4OYRtoi

Just a reminder that Trump’s team tried to focus on policy issues all month and 92% of Trump tweets were off-topic. https://t.co/ef94XvIUip

Not me. More tweeting, please. You're constantly incriminating and beclowning yourself on Twitter, dragging yourself closer to prison. Go! https://t.co/ok3Lv7mhhE

From Mediaite‘s own John Ziegler:
Modern Day Presidential:
Ignorant
Unprincipled
Dishonest
Egomaniacal
Narcissistic
Incompetent
Classless
Manipulative
Hypocritical
Clueless— John Ziegler (@Zigmanfreud) July 2, 2017
