Video Reportedly Shows Gaddafi Was Captured Alive (NSFW)

video

Video uploaded to YouTube on Thursday and broadcast on Arab satellite TV stations shows what appears to be a bloodied Muammar Gaddafi surrounded by jubilant rebels in Sirte. The battered former Libyan leader is shown being trucked in by fighters and then paraded around. “We want him alive. We want him alive,” chants an off-camera man.

The video description reads in Arabic: القذافي لحظة القبض عليه which means “Gaddafi, the moment of arrest.”

    Coming soon- the execution video!

The blood thirsty liberals can’t wait!

  • http://www.storminsmorningjava.blogspot.com/ stormin1961

at least in Bush’s war in Iraq Saddam Hussein got a trial before being executed. i wonder why Gaddafi didn’t get the same treatment during Obama’s war in Libya?

  • Anonymous

Oh no- you mean those new  democrats in Libya murdered him.

    Poor libs lose again!

  • Anonymous

You realize there were no Americans there right?  Or are you just stupid rather than playing stupid?

  • TruDat

Thank God they just beat him, shot him, and dragged him through the streets.  Had they waterboarded him, that would just be wrong.

  • TruDat

Ha, ha, ha!!  Typical lib stupidity on display.

You probably believe Obama, that we’re participating for a matter of days, not weeks.

So much for Obama’s new democracy. He just can’t seem to catch a break.

Heck of a job Barry- is this what we can expect from OWS too?

    LOL

On another post you libs are claiming Barry was responsible for everything that happened in Libya.

Which is it, you stupid lib?

  • Anonymous

Why would anyone hold Libyans to a liberal or conservative political philosophy? This despicable leader is dead. good riddance.

  • Anonymous

Um…You know that I noticed that you changed the subject, right?

Not sure which lib you speak of, but if we are going to coral everyone of a particular political ideology into the same body, then how come you Conservatives sold all those weapons to Libya and did so much business with him?

  • http://www.storminsmorningjava.blogspot.com/ stormin1961

but aren’t you the ones that are always telling us that we Americans are the war criminals/torturers and that the rest of the world are the enlightened and compassionate ones?

Why does the right wing hate our President so much, that they can’t even give him credit when his administration helps kill a tyrant and a terrorist?  How many Americans were hurt or killed in Lybia?  0.  How manny Americans were killed or injured in Iraq?  At least over 40,000.  Obama has succeded in fighting terrorism where Bush failed. And all the rightwingers here, whether they are a paid troll or not, can’t handle the truth.  You guys are sad.

This is one of the wealthiest countries in Africa with the lowest population. But look at these people. This bastard kept them poor and uneducated. With their own resources, these people should have had a country with top-notch infrastructure, education system and a standard of living rivaling that of Saudi Arabians or any western country. Probably sorrow for him can better be spent elsewhere. But damn, this video must shake any one who followed the news out of that part of the world & how invincible he once appeared

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_IV7Q3RVQDO3MCMFC446A4ZLUMI Sidhecat

Let me answer that from an objective standpoint.  We no longer talk to each other, either side talks and yells past each other.  Look back at what you just wrote.  “Obama has succeeded in fighting terrorism where Bush failed.”  This is not an accurate statement.  The groundwork was laid by profession soldiers and intelligence personnel during Bush’s term.  Obama used intell that was developed by these people, including the information by “enhanced interrogation.  Fighting terrorism, wow we can call it that again, is a long term project that will extend into the next presidents term or even further.  Europe has fought this problem for over 40 years.
The right gets upset because many on the left were doing stupid stuff like calling Bush the new Hitler, people like Olbermann screaming for Bush’s resignation seemingly every night, video games of killing Bush.  After all of that crap, do you really think that the right is going to be “fair” when  the lefts guy is in charge?

When the Conservatives were in power they wanted to water board Osama Bin Laden.  Only trouble is, they didn’t know where he was.  But if they had found him, they would have water boarded him – to find out where he was hiding himself.  Anyway, I think the point we all agree on, under the Conservatives, the enemy could expect to be water boarded but not shot and killed.

  • Pino

Type your comment here.He must have been a terrible dictator, that does not make it right for people to  kill him in the spot in a brutal manner. Rebels have a command structure, they were loking for Gadaffi for some time. They should have had clear instructions on what to do with him if captured. What is shown is absolutely horrible, this is not the way human beings are supposed to behave. The law of the gun, no different than Gadaffi’s conduct. Shame on them.   Jose Luis Pino-y-Torres

Ummmmm Gaddafi spread the wealth around.  He invested heavily in infrastructure.  He provided free education and healthcare for all.  Literacy skyrocketed in Libya and poverty nosedived.  Gaddafi gave women more rights than any other Middle Eastern country.  People got monetary gifts from the government when they got married.

You are clueless.  Shouldn’t you be Occupying Wall Street or something?

Still waiting for the Obots to see the point we’re all getting at here.

The point isn’t that Obama is wrong, or that he did something wrong in his capacity as President.

    “That’s a flat out LIE.”

Not so much, Obama had green lighted an expansion of the program, but the revolution got into the way..  Now don’t whine about the military components never made it there because of the war breaking out because Obama never stopped the program started under Bush after Gaddafi gave up his nuclear ambitions and in the end green lighted it’s expansion, you can hardly say that his hands could be any cleaner than Bush’s.. You may want to note in your accusation that neither the Bush or Obama administrations sold lethal weapons to Libya as their were sanctions in place during both presidencies.  I am sure that Reagan and Bush senior were not selling weapons to Gaddafi as it was during the Reagan administration that we tried to blow Gaddafi’s ass up!  So again what is your point?

Hey, I agree with Michael Moore.  He should have had a trial with all legals delays, and a free American lawyer to drag out the proceedings.

  • Anonymous

All items sold to Libya were for civilian purposes.  The explosives are for oil exploration.  To call them arms sales is a lie.  Aircraft parts are not arms.  No bombs or bullets were sold.  No weapon systems.  Also, private military companies sold the products, so Obama didn’t sell shit.

And Reagan mostly sold arms to Iran during that time.  And by that I mean literally sold weapons not approving weapons being sold.

  • koolmoedee

Good Lt do you have any clue of what results are…. who gets results …. who gets the terrorists,.. who gets things done… Obama

  • S R Karenova

Let’s see. Despite dreaming that he could be a war hero president Bush bequeathed to America two of the three longest, most poorly managed wars in its history. Obama has now taken out Qaddafy with a very small footprint. He has taken out the top leadership of Al Qaeda in particular Osama Bin Laden who Bush had given up hunting down made most clearly by his decision to close the Bin Laden search unit at the CIA in 2006. You know at this point Bush was finally* trying to confront the raging civil war in Iraq that he began when he invaded the country with hardly any troops in 2003. And mind you Obama will have removed our entire troop presence in Iraq and to a lesser extent in Afghanistan by next year. So Obama is certainly more deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize than any other leader in modern times.

So let’s go at this in a different manner, I showed you that Bush nor any other conservative administration sold weapons to Gaddafi…  so will you please defend your statement?

“ how come you Conservatives sold all those weapons to Libya and did so much business with him?”

I would suggest to you that unless you can provide proof then you are the lair. You made a statement that was completely void of facts, and I have shown you this, yet below you want to deflect by going back 30 years and talk about Reagan and Iran, and the Iran Contra program that was done without Reagan’s knowledge, he did in the end admit that it did occur, but only after he had reviewed the activities of his underlings because he himself had never authorized the operation.  It was more of a rouge CIA operation.

Reagan owned up to it saying it was done without his knowledge, even so he regretted that it ever happened as it was against everything he believed in.

    http://wikileaks.org/cable/2009/08/09TRIPOLI677.html

The records confirm that McCain, the Republican presidential
candidate in 2008, strongly supported US arms sales to Libya and
personally pledged to Muammar Gaddafi (also spelled “al-Qadhafi”) and
his son Muatassim that he would push to get such transfers approved by
    Congress.
“We never would have guessed ten years ago that we would be sitting in
Tripoli, being welcomed by a son of Muammar al-Qadhafi,” Senator Joseph
Lieberman (Ind.-CT) said during an August 2009 meeting, which also included Senators John McCain and Susan Collins.

  • Anonymous

He supposedly died from his wounds.  At least that’s what has been reported.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_NWVKX2P2QBPQ6FHQHCHVIC2ALQ Fedup in Florida

Again your last response is total BS..  if you read the cable you will see the reason for the visit

“The Senators recognized Libya’s cooperation on counterterrorism and conveyed that it was in the interest of both countries to make the relationship stronger. They encouraged Libya to sign the Highly Enriched Uranium transfer agreement by August 15 in order to fulfill its obligation to transfer its nuclear spent fuel to Russia for treatment and disposal. [Note: The Libyan Government subsequently informed us of its intent to sign the agreement on August 17 and has begun taking good-faith steps to do so (ref B). End note.]”

I would say this paragraph describes the most salient part of the visit, yes Gaddafi’s son was begging for weapons, but the senator’s just blew him off making some excuse as to how he must understand how things get bogged down in Congress.

You may want to note that this meeting occurred during after Obama had assumed his office. Your STATEMENT again was “how come you Conservatives sold all those weapons to Libya and did so much business with him?” and again you have failed to show that you are not lying…  I am done with this, but the next time you accuse anyone of lying, first you should check the facts, and secondly you should check yourself to make sure that you are not the one telling lies as you have been shown to have been doing here.

Bush invaded Iraq which had nothing to do with terrorism or 9/11.  Bush also pushed for normalized relations with Qaddafi, even though he was a terrorist that was responsible for killing the second largest number of Americans.  The first being Bid Laden.  Bush was an absolute disaster in fighting terrorism.  We had the largest attack in our history under his watch.  If 9/11 had happened under a Democratic President he would have been properly blamed.  Somehow the media gave W a pass, even though his administration know of Bin Laden’s plan before the attack.  The scoreboard says that Obama has killed more terrorists than Bush, and improved the United States’ image all over the world.  Bid Ladin is dead and now Qaddafi.  No amount of spin can diminish Obama’s accomplishments.

  • ASAP

Your link also shows that our military killed almost 100,000 civilian men, women, and children in Iraq.  And somehow your point is that it was worth it.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_NWVKX2P2QBPQ6FHQHCHVIC2ALQ Fedup in Florida

I have seen you post here before so I am pretty certain that you are not this dumb…  Bush eased those restrictions so that US companies could import needed supplies in to Libya to destroy their chemical weapons, the planes that were refurbished were located in the US..  there actually were other sales also but of non-lethal military equipment, but Obama continued the same program and in the end gave his blessing to expand it beyond the scope of the sales that Bush had approved…  you have lost this argument, you know it but you are much to stubborn to admit it…

    From the article that you cite;

    “President George W. Bush on
Wednesday waived some defense export restrictions on Libya to allow U.S.
companies to participate in destroying Tripoli’s chemical weapons and to
    refurbish eight transport planes.

It also would allow for the refurbishment of eight C-130H transport planes purchased by Libya in the 1970s that never ended up in Tripoli’s possession, but have been held in storage in the United States, the spokesman said.

The point that I was trying to make is that your statement was unfair as Obama has not only continued the same policy but in the end was going to expand it…  so it really was not a conservative thing.  I think that we both probably learned in our little debate that really neither Obama or Bush sold weapons, there were military items sold to Libya such as airplane parts and tear gas etc, but not guns and bombs.  That is something that I would have not know had we not gone through finding and linking articles.

At any rate I don’t think that either president can be faulted for what they did with their sales to Libya as both their efforts were made so that we could continue to dismantle Gaddafi’s weapons programs and to better our ties with Libya in an effort to keep him from reverting to his previous behaviors…

In your last post you state.. “Literally what Obama did, but you say he is evil?”  but if you read back through my posts I never said that Obama was evil, I simply said that his policies were merely a continuance of Bushes policies, which I think that we have both seen as we read each other’s links is true.  But I never said anything about Obama evil.

I am a conservative, and there are many things that I would criticize this president for, but that has not been what I have been doing in my discussion with you.

    Take care.

Saying that democracy is equal to mob rule really only highlights your ignorance.

While one can argue the superiority of a republican form over a purely democratic form (myself, I’d argue in favor of the republic), the original democrats in Periclean Athens did OK given their time and the the scope of the issues they had to deal with.

To a right wingnut like yourself, everything you disagree with appears as a “leftie.”

To sane people, you appear as an ignorant douchebag. For some reason you appear to consider that a good thing. Oh, well: “mission accomplished.”

A little lesson: your resentment over a positive outcome for a politician you don’t like doesn’t actually affect reality. I realize it’s a bitter pill to swallow, but objective reality doesn’t give a rat’s ass about your preferences.

Libya is a perfect example of how to intervene in a regime-change crisis without breaking the bank or soaking foreign sands with US blood. Iraq is a perfect example of how the same impulse can be FUBARed if it’s channeled by idiots, zealots, fools, and incompetents.

You know this as well as anyone, and your continued false comparisons just prove that you have no respect for the truth, or are, alternatively, completely mush-brained.

Will this tinfoil nuttery be the new Birtherism?

  • Bob

No – ‘spiking the ball’ would be playing dress-up with a flight suit and strutting across an aircraft carrier deck.
Obama handled the news with the appropriate tone.

You make the fatal assumption that both circumstances are exactly the same and you assume the accusations against Bush are incorrect and just people playing politics…

The war on Libya took like 5 minutes. We are still in Iraq.

Bad guy.  But most people are nothing more than savages.

Obama is the blood-thirstiest president ever.  He is a warmonger.  Why in the world was he presented with the Nobel Peace Prize?  That really baffles me.

Still not sure how much obama has to do with this… and the retarded “libs” vs “conservatives” nonsense…i think this would have happened either way. Egypt got along just fine without our help, thinking these guys would have managed the same eventually. Speaking of the idiotic quibbling, isnt it kind of funny that when so called liberals refer to the other side they use words like “conservative” and “republican”, but when the conservatives do the same, they use shortened words like “dems” and “libs”. Is it perhaps because they dont know how to spell those words? Or maybe it has more to do with laziness..Maybe its time to stop finding excuses to trash our president, because whichever side youre on he still got elected, and all anyone wants to do is make the job tougher. That isnt going to get anything done. Time for people to pull their heads out of their asses and stop debating what the man is doing wrong and offer some damn solutions..

Yes, we can all breath a sign of relief that NATO sent radioactive love amunitions in this humanitarian project and we should all be thankful that no civilians were killed by Obama rt al. We killed no victims like Gadaffi, we are the good guys

  • Lulu

Its terrifying to realise how many lines Obama et al crossed, how far America has fallen. They have a leader who has no respect for law. Rome is burning and the people are begging for more tigers in the arena!

  • Flogman
