Your Moment Of Glenn: Jon Stewart Fills In For Beck, Sort Of

Regular viewers of Glenn Beck already know that the popular Fox News anchor is out of commission this week due to a case of appendicitis. Last night on The Daily Show Jon Stewart saw fit to step in and fill in the void…sort of. If Glenn Beck’s nightly performance is considered high art by some, than I’m not sure what how you’d describe Jon Stewart’s rendition of a Beck monologue last night (complete with chalkboard and almost tears) except to say it’s very Beckian.

Stewart speculates, Beck-style, on Glenn Beck’s health in light of the aforementioned appendicitis, as well as his hospitalization more than a year ago due to a botched hemorrhoid operation. The premise of Stewarts monologue is that there may be some sort of medical conspiracy going on having to do with Glenn Beck’s organs: “You know who else didn’t answer medical questions..Hitler….Obviously, I’m not saying this is a plot by Hitler to steal Glenn Beck from all of us internal organ, by internal organ.” Video below:

I find it interesting Glynnis has time to show yet again her complete obsession with Glen Beck, while not responding to a very reasonable and sensible questions posed by ImNotBlue on her “teabagger” thread.

Beck, teabagger….are these the only things Glynnis thinks about?

Wow, Ms McNicol sees Stewart’s “premise” as a medical conspiracy? She is even more stupid than I thought. To any thinking viewer, Stewart’s “premise” was to show how ridiculous Beck’s conspiracy theories are and the stupidity of Beck’s arguments through satire. Either she has absolutely no sense of humor or is very dumb or both. I am going with both.

Of course, there is another reason why Ms. McNicol doesn’t play along with Stewart’s satire. Could it be she doesn’t want to anger all of the teabaggers in her audience who revere Beck. Many teabaggers and their compatriots seem to be the main audience here at Mediaite.

I normally find Jon Stewart brilliant, but this Beck thing, I didn’t get. Maybe I am really tired, but didn’t get it at all. Glad to hear Beck is out, even if it’s for a while though.
