Tonight’s Episode Of Community Spends 30 Minutes Parodying Glee

glee community parody VIDEO

Last year’s Community Christmas special was done mostly in Claymation, with the characters going on a somewhat-insane imaginary journey inside the mind of a member of their study group. Since then, the show has been put on “hiatus” by NBC. Tonight’s episode once again proves that to be a poor decision, as this year’s Christmas episode has the study group joining the glee club. Joel McHale, star of the show, explains that at the start of the episode, the college’s glee club shows up in the cafeteria and annoys everyone with their singing, so his character, Jeff Winger, calls ASCAP and tells them that the club is using copyrighted music without the permission on the artists.

Hilarious: Jonah Hill Tells Jimmy Fallon How He Got In A Fight With Glee‘s Matthew Morrison

Hill Fallon video

Bad news, guys; Mr. Shue is a bully. At least, according to Jonah Hill he is.

Last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Hill told a story about his time at the fall upfronts and how he was the “unpopular new kid” when hanging out with all the other Fox actors only for things to get worse when he started getting picked on by a “cool kid,” Glee‘s Matthew Morrison. I’m not sure why, but this clip might be the funniest thing Hill’s done since Superbad.

Greg Gutfeld On Obama’s NASCAR Invite: ‘Like Inviting The Cast Of Glee To Michele Bachmann’s House’

Picture 3 video

Like many Americans who were somewhat confused, the cast of the The Five took a minute to reflect upon the bizarre case of nearly half a NASCAR team declining an invitation to be honored at the White House, citing “scheduling conflicts.” While positing some reasons for the potential conflict– from lack of moon pies to, perhaps, legitimate scheduling conflicts– co-host Greg Gutfeld gave a perfectly succinct analogy to summarize the political situation: “it’s like inviting the cast of Glee to Michele Bachmann‘s house.”

Anderson Cooper Seems Very Upset With Glee Creator Ryan Murphy For Changing Cast

cooper_glee video

Ryan Murphy recently announced plans to change the cast members of the hit musical dramedy show Glee, claiming that it wouldn’t be realistic for a show set in a High School musical theater program to have students stay in school after graduation. Last night, Anderson Cooper explains why Murphy earned a spot on AC360‘s RidicuList, pointing out that there is nothing realistic about a show in which students suddenly break out in song (with strategically placed fog machines.)

Rep. Michele Bachmann’s Kids Love Gay Glee Actor Chris Colfer

michele_6.17.11

lthough we (the people) are by now aware that GOP presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann has had a hand in raising 23 foster kids, she doesn’t often speak about them, nor has she formally introduced them into the media spotlight. That’s why it was intriguing (and maybe even somewhat confusing) to learn that Bachmann recently tried to procure autographs for her kids from the cast of Glee, which is quite possibly the gayest family-oriented show on network television today.

Glenn Beck Stays Up At Night Worrying That Our Nation Is Hopeless Against The ‘Horror Show’ That Is Glee

Beck video

The entire message of today’s Glenn Beck was that our children are in terrible, terrible trouble. Every day, they’re being indoctrinated by Commie teachers, fashionable Che Guevara t-shirts, and the grinning, gaping maw of Al Gore. Sure, all of these examples are horrifying, but there is one cruel scourge that got a special mention from Glenn Beck. I speak, of course, about television sensation and iTunes marketing machine, Glee.

Victoria Jackson Denounces Glee, ‘Liberal Agenda,’ Muslims, & Oral Sex STDs On HLN

Victoria Jackson video

Recently, former SNL cast member and Tea Party anthem singer Victoria Jackson was appalled that this week’s episode of Glee featured two gay characters locking lips. She took to the Internet, writing a blistering post on WorldNetDaily.com in which she called the kiss “sickening.” The folks at HLN read between the lines of that post and were able to translate it as “Someone please put me in front of television cameras right now!”

Victoria Jackson: Glee Episode Featuring Gay Kiss ‘Made A Mockery Of Christians’

Picture 1

Victoria Jackson, a former Saturday Night Live cast member, is blasting Glee, calling the show “sickening” after last week’s episode, which included a kiss between two gay characters.
In a post on conservative blog WorldNetDaily.com, Jackson says the show “made a mockery of Christians.”

The column, “The Muslims Next Door,” begins with the line “frankly, I’m afraid to say anything about Muslims. Why? Because they kill people.” And then she proceeds to say a lot about Muslims, Glee, progressives and even CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric, suggesting they all share a single objective:

Kathy Griffin’s Cartoonish Mockery Of Sarah Palin As Tea Party Candidate On Glee

palin_griffin Video

The ongoing feud between comedian Kathy Griffin and Sarah Palin continues with Griffin portraying a character on last night’s Fox hit show Glee that looked remarkably similar to Palin and sounded like a mix of past Tea Party candidates. Wearing a red dress and glasses, and being labeled a “Twitterer,” the intention to mock Palin was clear. Now it will be interesting to see whether Palin has another comment on the work of Griffin, who she previously dubbed a “has-been comedienne.”

Vanity Fair’s F-word Problem, But Not the F-word You Think

glee

There was a time that the word “fag” probably wouldn’t cause much of a stir. But Vanity Fair contributor Brett Berk has found himself in the middle of a weekend firestorm after dropping the f-bomb in a column about the recent episode of Glee in his Gay Guide to Glee on VF’s website.

ABC’s Diane Sawyer Recruits Glee‘s Matthew Morrison To “Team Diane”

Picture 4

This whole Glee fight’s a bit silly, but we’re onboard. Especially now that it’s clear ABC’s Diane Sawyer is playing to win. It all started, you may know, with a cameo on the hit show by CBS’s Katie Couric. In the scene, Couric’s gets slammed with the line “I hate you, Diane Sawyer.”

Last night FOX chose to air their hit show Glee in the coveted post-Super Bowl time slot. The football themed episode featured the cast performing their take on “Thriller” in addition to having the CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric drop by to interview “loser of the year” Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch’s hilarious cheerleading coach).

Glee Creator Says “F**k You” To Rock Band That Refused The Rights To Their Music

Ryan Murphy

Ryan Murphy, the creator of the iTunes marketing tool television show Glee had some harsh words for the band Kings of Leon who made headlines last year for refusing to license their songs to be performed by the pretty kids of Glee. And if you think that I’m being too harsh in making fun of the show’s merchandising priorities and pretty cast, just know that I’m only trying to even things out from Murphy’s interview in which makes it pretty clear that thinks his show is helping save the world.

Notify Newsweek! Neil Patrick Harris Was Playing Straight On Glee!

Picture 10 video

Last night’s ‘dreamy’ episode of Glee starring Neil Patrick Harris was the first episode of the show to air since the Newsweek/Glee gay actors controversy exploded into the headlines last week. But the timing was serendipitous since without that article likely no one would have thought twice about a couple of scenes that subsequently took on a greater meaning.

Hollywood Velvet Mafia vs. Newsweek’s Ramin Setoodeh

murphy

As we enter into week three of why Newsweek’s Ramin Setoodeh is a bad gay for suggesting that Sean Hayes isn’t believable as a romantic lead, it appears the Hollywood Velvet Mafia isn’t quite done with him yet and now he has agreed to do penance on the set of Glee.

In an open letter yesterday Glee creator Ryan Murphy slammed the magazine for this recent article that suggested gay actors should not try to play straight because they are not convincing. The author of the Newsweek article used openly gay actors who are playing straight characters in both Glee and the current Broadway show Promises, Promises, to make his point. People were not amused.

Bill O’Reilly Worries Glee May Be Indoctrinating Our Children

Picture 3 video

Glee managed to land itself in the O’Reilly cable sphere last night after the guidance counselor character on the show, bemoaning the lack of positive female role models for young women these days, name-checks Ann Coulter as one. I think you can probably see where this is going.
