CBS Officially Names Scott Pelley New CBS Evening News Anchor

In a move you’d be forgiven for thinking had already been made, CBS officially named 60 Minutes correspondent Scott Pelley the new anchor of the CBS Evening News, replacing Katie Couric. “Scott has it all. He has the experience, the credibility and he is among the very best reporters ever to work at CBS News,” said CBS News chairman Jeff Fager. “In more than two decades at CBS News, he has distinguished himself at every level, right up to his current role at ’60 Minutes,’ where his work has been incomparable. We like to think of CBS News as the ‘reporter’s network’ and I can’t think of anybody in this business better suited for the anchor chair than Scott.”

After months of speculation, Couric confirmed she’d leave her post, and Pelley will take over the newscast beginning June 6. “I am delighted to join the terrific team at the ‘CBS Evening News,’” said Pelley. “It’s a privilege to work alongside the most gifted and talented journalists in the industry.”

CBS’ evening newscast remains stuck in third place, behind ABC’s World News, anchored by Diane Sawyer, and NBC’s top-rated Nightly News, anchored by Brian Williams.

The GOOD news: the pathetic joke of a “reporter/newscaster/anchor” couric leaves.

The BAD news: as expected, the C(ertified)B(iased)S(ocialists)network replaces her with an equally biased, lying, slime-throwing, leftist hussein-loving propagandist.

Question: obviously, couric’s lips have been surgically attached to “You Lie!” hussein’s A** for some time. Will they be removed once she leaves her current job? NB: That isn’t necessary to free up space for the lips of her replacement, since pelley has enjoyed the same surgical attachment for years.
