Chuck Todd Confronts Rudy Giuliani Over Tweet That Was Actually From a Parody Account

Sometimes, it’s not even enough to #NeverTweet, as former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani found out Sunday morning on Meet the Press. During a discussion of Republican nominee Donald Trump’s debate performance Monday night, host Chuck Todd confronted Giuliani over this less-than-glowing assessment of Trump’s debating exploits:

This debate was not @realDonaldTrump‘s best, but there are still two more. #debatenight

There’s just one problem with that, as Giuliani pointed out to Todd:

I never said that. that’s somebody pretending to be me. There are about four of them out there that pretend to be me.

In Todd’s defense, it has been several months since anyone could easily tell the difference between the real 2016 campaign and a parody.
