CNN Reports Suspicious Ricin Poison-Tainted Letter Intercepted On Way To Senate

 

CNN’s Dana Bash reported Tuesday evening that a letter laced with ricin poison was sent to an unidentified Senate office. The letter was allegedly intercepted at an offsite Washington mail facility and never made it to its intended destination.

The letter tested positive for ricin poison three times and at this time, there is no word on which Senate office the letter was sent to. As Bash reported, Ricin is “highly poisonous, even in small quantities.”

UPDATE (6:40pm ET): The Associated Press is reporting that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has confirmed that the letter was addressed to Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS).
