CNN’s Stelter Calls Out Trump for Tweet About NYT’s Maggie Haberman: ‘Lying Is Disrespectful’
CNN’s Brian Stelter opened this morning’s Reliable Sources by calling out President Trump for lying about New York Times correspondent Maggie Haberman.
Yesterday the President went on a Twitter rant about Haberman and a recent New York Times report:

….non-existent “sources” and a drunk/drugged up loser who hates Michael, a fine person with a wonderful family. Michael is a businessman for his own account/lawyer who I have always liked & respected. Most people will flip if the Government lets them out of trouble, even if….

….it means lying or making up stories. Sorry, I don’t see Michael doing that despite the horrible Witch Hunt and the dishonest media!

The dig at Haberman is clearly inaccurate, given 1) how the President actually has talked to Haberman and 2) photographic evidence, and Stelter said that the President is “putting the ‘bully’ in ‘bully pulpit.'”
He showed the tweet about Haberman Trump sent out and brought up those times Trump has talked to Haberman.
“Lying is disrespectful,” Stelter continued. “And it’s not just disrespectful to Haberman or to journalists, but to the public.”
