Colbert Vs. Colbert: Is Romney A Moderate Or A Severe Conservative?

On Thursday, Stephen Colbert took on his greatest competition of all, Stephen Colbert, in a debate over Mitt Romney’s shifting rhetoric.

After some slightly shameful self-promotion, les deux Colberts got down to brass tacks: Did the more moderate policies espoused by Romney during his debate with Obama point to the real Romney? Or is he really the “severe conservative” he’s said he is?

One thing is for sure: When Colbert wins, all Colberts win. Kind of.

As their debate came to an end, one Colbert, deeply confused, said he didn’t even know who he was anymore. “And we’ve only switched places once,” noted the other Colbert. Just think how Romney must feel.
