Dick Cheney Thinks Hillary Clinton Should Challenge Obama In Primary Run

video

“So far she hasn’t said she would, but I think it’s not a bad idea,” Dick Cheney told ABC’s Jonathan Karl in an interview aired last night, sounding hopeful that Hillary Clinton might run in challenge to President Obama, a move he thinks would “be good for the Democratic party and it might even help the Republicans.”

The former Vice President fancies the current Secretary of State “a pretty formidable individual. And I think she’s probably the most competent person they’ve got in their cabinet,” he said with what ABC called “a Darth Vader Smile.”

He said:

“Maybe if the Obama record is bad enough, and these days it’s not very good, given the shape of the economy, maybe there will be enough ferment in the democratic party so that there will be a primary on their side.  I think it’d be good for the country.”

Cheney was otherwise tough on the current GOP field. He accused Rick Perry of using “inappropriate” and “over-the-top rhetoric” in talking about Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernake; he offered a warning to Michele Bachmann regarding over-promising on the campaign trail; and suggested that Jon Huntsman‘s views on Afghanistan cut too close to Obama’s, and that his plan to draw-down troops would “be a mistake.”

Well Duhhhhhhhhhh…. of course he want’s a weaken Obama going into the race.

Dick Cheney & Hillary Clinton should get a room at the Notell. Then Cheney would become a cadaver in fact, as well as in appearance; and Hillary will have served her country in a positive fashion, for once.

There may be a few decent Dems who should challenge King Obama , who has totally destroyed his own party . Webb , Bayh or Manchin could catch on as decent alternatives to the far left wacked out policies of Obama .

Hillary could take the nom from Obama . If she waits , she’ll be too old .

But who wants Bill Clinton back in power ?

    Look at Monica now :

She might as well give it a try.  That would be the only chance that the dems would have in keeping the white house

I saw that story too…. very sad.

  • Anonymous

‘That would be the only chance that the dems would have in keeping the white house’…..I’d go a step further, ‘she would trounce any and all Republican Candidates on her way to becoming POTUS!’

Are liberals still hoping that one day President Obama will be as tolerant on the gay marriage issue as Dick Cheney is?

  • Anonymous

Dick Cheney should be ashamed of himself for sending other people’s children to war while he is proven to be a coward when he had the chance to answer the call of duty.

Well Monica’s not the first young woman who thought she’d entered into a relationship with a more mature, married man only to find out he considered it merely a fling, is she? No more a paragon of female virtue than President Clinton was a role model for young men. And she was shamelessly exploited by Linda Tripp and Lucianne Goldberg, alias Lucianne Steinberger, alias Lucianne Cummings, from whose foul and fetid loins sprang Big Petty’s idol, the despicable, pandering Jonah. I have little or no sympathy for any of these women, and I tire of their shrill whines of victimization.

But, the Clintons did have a tendency to leave a great deal of human wreckage in their wake.

I doubt Hillary! care what Big D*ck says about anything, and I am sure she is ready for a less stressful, more comfortable life. The woman has worked wonders at State, with an energy and a wisdom we can all admire and envy. She is very tired.

  • The Real Royal Emperor

I don’t think Big D*ck had all that much choice in the matter.

Cheney is right on all fronts. Hilary would not have done Health Care, she knew how that worked out in 1993. She would have focused on jobs. The liberals blew it when they nominated Obama. In regards to Perry and Bachmann, Cheney is right once again. Perry can win the nomination, but how does he pivot back to indepedents in a general election. He’ll look like a hypocrite and a flip flopper. Romney won this debate, Perry did not implode, but looked red faced and doubled down on his Ponzi scheme comments. That won’t fly even with most conservative voters. Michele Bachmann looked small, failed to attack Perry and her repetitious comments on repealing Obamacare is all she really had. And frankly those talking points are getting old. Perry will continue to garner the tea party vote, she’ll go south even further. Ron Paul, unfortunately, was disappointing. He mumbled too much. At the end of the day, Romney is the candidate best suited for the general election.

This is even more proof that everything the media reports on daily is fabricated out of Washington.

  • Republicans are Liars

Spoken by a true idiot unaware of historical facts.

Well, I suppose he could’ve lacked the moral conviction to take a stand- like Obama.

Let’s not forget that Cheney has always been in favor of gay marriage, including during the 2000 VP debates.  That’s  three years before gay marriage was legal in Massachusetts, and
eight before it was in Connecticut.  Obama’s views are still “evolving.”

Say what you want about Cheney, but he’s never been accused of not speaking his mind.  Even when it’s not popular to do so.

Did your plastic messiah enlist? Did Joe “plugs” Biteme enlist? And you call me an idiot?

Do you tards even know the meaning of double standard or hypocrisy?

  • JohnJGuy

Wishful thinking on the part of Dick Cheney and very unlikely to happen. It would far more likely that Sarah Palin will enter into the Republican Race.

It’s still a contest between Rick Perry, Mitt Romney…and maybe the Tea Party.

So says the partisan with blinders on.

  • Valkyrie101

Hillary would lose much capital if she ran now. On the other hand, she is the most likely president in 2016. Besides, she and Obama still have important work to do during the next term.

Shrooms are bad for you….they also make you say stupid things!!

  • http://thefunemployed.blogspot.com/ rance

    You mean Obama, right?

  • http://thefunemployed.blogspot.com/ rance

She will be older than John “Too old to be President” McCain was when he ran.

I must have touched a nerve.

  • richs

Why did you forget to mention the part where the Clinton Justice Department was prosecuting Wall Street firms for sexual harassment because their senior execs where having sex with junior staff members and interns.  The Clinton Justice Department reasoning was that because of the desparity in power between a senior exec on Wall Street and an intern the sex was to be considered coerced.  What about the disparity in power between the President of the United States and a young intern?

  • Anonymous

Yes. Many on the right and left didn’t do their part when called upon. And others got an easy ride (Al Gore served 6 months taking pictures and was allowed to go home when he requested to).  My father served his tour in the signal corpse and no…. he was not given the opportunity to go home early like Gore was.

  • richs

And I don’t think you have, or deserve, any credibility.

  • Anonymous

At least Al Gore and your father showed up. Dick was busy with deferment forms and finding every way to avoid service.

Simple math will inform you that BO was a kid/child then.

  • The Real Royal Emperor

    But younger than Ron Paul.

  • Anonymous

I’m glad you identify yourself as a SOB. The lamest part is not that you identify yourself as such, the embarrassing part is that you couldn’t do simple arithmetic that will inform you that BO was too young to even be in high school let a lone Military service. Gash! you are embarrassing.

Where is the war protest now? Why are there no one yelling in the streets about Obama? He doing just as much and even more as Cheney and Bush with War! I thought Obama was all about change and Hope!

If I was her I would retire now…. I would do what  I wanted, when I wanted. She has fought this BS long enough.  Why would she want to be associated with the obama regeime?

  • Anonymous

    Nerve struck…mission accomplished.

BTW- I’m a Conservative/Libertarian and I like Hillary a lot. I disagree with her on many policy issues, but I admire and greatly respect her as a person and politician. I would hardly ever say a disparaging word about her.
You, on the other hand, are a typical Lib, full of insults to strangers who you disagree with. Your reply lacks any substance and the CAPS don’t help at all.

  • Djbynum02

    I agree.

    She HATES Obama…!

  • david r

Hillary’s demise has been lost in the ocean of bad news ever since.  She would have been better, having actually served a complete term in the Senate.  She would have championed concrete proposals in the health care debate, and the debt ceiling debacle would have never occurred because she would have raised taxes back to Bill Clinton levels when she had majorities in both houses.  Right now she would have concrete job proposals and would be able to peel off enough Rs to make it stick.  Hell,  But we just couldn’t resist the notion of a black president.  Hope and change!  This election it will be ‘Better luck next term!”  Sadly, people get the government they deserve.

“far left wacked [sic] out policies of Obama”

What?!? Barry’s more of a Republican than a Dem. Where have you been the last three years?

Also, since he caves to Republicans on everything, why is this the Obama economy? Obama caved on the Bush Tax Cuts For The Wealthy… so where are the jobs? Republicans always say that tax cuts for the rich will create jobs… so where are they? Trickle down my A$$.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_NMIKH2YFVNOIFEHIABNQA2MUNY Zona

Of course he is saying this.  Big freaking surprise and I am sure Hillary just hates her name even being mentioned by this hack.
