GMA‘s Robin Roberts Explains What Really Happened With Chris Brown: ‘I Was Shocked’

Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts took time Wednesday morning to talk about Chris Brown, the R&B star who seemed somewhat less than thrilled with his interview with Roberts Tuesday. “I was shocked like everybody else,” she said.

Appearing on GMA–he hoped–to talk about his new CD and to perform Yeah 3X, Roberts asked about Brown’s legal problems stemming from the beating he delivered to his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown apparently thinks people shouldn’t still be interested in that.

GMA showed the smashed window in Brown’s dressing room and even a cooler they say the singer threw in a fit of post-interview rage. And yes, Roberts says, Brown was informed ahead of time he would be asked about Rihanna. Roberts said she thought Brown was “joking” when he seemed irritated during the interview, and said the show’s extended an invitation to have him back on GMA (windowless dressing room next time?).

I don’t know why Robin Roberts thinks that people still want to hear about Chris Brown troubles with Rhianna. Chris Brown might have been aware that Robin was going to bring up the incident with Rhianna BUT I am sure he didn’t think that Robin Roberts was going to make his whole appearance about the tragic ordeal. People need to remember that Chris Brown is only 21 and how about words of encouragement – doesn’t the young man deserve that for a change. He can overcome his anger problem, but only if he is given a chance and positive guidance by mature adults around him. By the way, I agree, I think Chris Brown showed much restriant, hell I was pounding my desk saying “why the hell Robin badgering Chris Brown. Robin & all those who she claims are still interested in the ordeal with Rhianna, need to move on so that both Chris Brown & Rhianna can move on and get over that sad time in their lives.

If you had invited someone to your house and they threw a tantrum, cursed you out, and smashed your windows would you invite them back? If this was a business meeting in the corporate world and you got pissed in a meeting and smashed a conference room, would the company say, “hey, sorry, but why don’t you come back and let’s talk about it” What crazy world are we living in now? Geez, they even acted like THEY did something to provoke him. “Oh my, why we even TOLD him the questions beforehand….” You wonder why these idiots like Chris Brown get away with this. I mean he is a guest promoting HIS album, free publicity and millions of viewers and HE’s the one who is pissed? God almighty.

Like most Blacks, Chris Brown has little impulse control. He looks like he could snap and go ape-shit at any moment(no pun intended. wait, it was intended). I still say Brown should be tossed in the slammer and left there. He’s a beater and it was stupid to interview him and want to have him back. What some people won’t do just to get an audience and possibly ratings. Just watch, in a while, Brown will probably claim he wasn’t really mad when he smashed that window, that it was all part of his new act to promote his lousy cd. Brown is disgusting.

Of course they want him back. Robin’s mask of sorrow and concern this morning could barely conceal her seething ambition and greed. She is a ratings whore. GMA isn’t pressing charges. I wonder why?
