Jon Stewart Finds Lou Dobbs’s Views “Abhorrent and Wrong,” Doesn’t Ask About Them

…beyond calling Dobbs’ views “abhorrent and wrong,” Stewart didn’t really challenge Dobbs on the disquieting race-related issues about his show…
I suppose it’s easy to say, “Dobbs is a racist,” or “Dobb’s view is terrible and wrong,” than it is to say, “I disagree with Dobbs, and here’s why we shouldn’t have borders,” or “Dobbs is wrong, illegal immigrants should be allowed to do whatever they want.” I’d say it’s “amazing to me,” but at this point it’s not… it’s just standard fodder. The left was told to hate Dobbs… they weren’t told exactly why, only that he dislikes immigrants (it’s okay to lie to your political supporters, they won’t call you on it). Actually SUPPORTING the things would take too much work, it’s easier to disagree with what he has to say. “Dobbs is wrong,” is a lot easier than, “Here’s why I’m right.” Perhaps that’s why Jon didn’t bring it up.
Glad to see the back of Dobbs, but, hey, why is he everywhere?
It worries me that the brilliant, peerless Jon Stewart would risk the pollution of his deific Daily Show with the hateful racist Lou Dobbs. The thing that really pisses me off about a hateful racist like Dobbs is that he’s so hatefully racist towards Latinos he marries a Mexican-American women and fathers Mexican-American children, just so he’s able to remind himself everyday of how much he hates Latinos and stew in his hatefully racist juices. If it wasn’t for white liberals like Jon Stewart I don’t know how the masses could avoid falling under the influence of hateful racists like Lou Dobbs. Hopefully, wonderful white liberals like Jon Stewart continue to procreate with their wonderful white liberal wives, so we’ll never run out of wonderful white liberals telling us what to think.
So why should I hate Lou Dobbs again?
As a side note, I found it interesting that on the Daily Show page there is a sidebar of Stewart’s “Takedowns” including Jim Cramer, Bernie Goldberg, Chris Matthews and Betsy McCaughey.
What was the takedown of Goldberg again? Was it from the other night, when Stewart “took him down” by saying, “f**k you,” or something similar? Ah yes… what a takedown.
Pat Doherty:
Why would you say that Lou Dobbs is a racist? The reason you say those terrible things about him is, that you are an OBAMAMAB lover, right? Well, when the tax he is putting forth attacks your wallet, maybe you will FINALLY realize what this man is doing to our country. But then, you probably would think whatever the president does, suits you? The majority of people in the USA DO NOT think this man knows what the HE!! he is doing, NOR does he give a dam as long as he can get by with it. When we go bankrupt, I do hope you will have a little food in your home, you are going to need it. And as far as Health Care goes, You have better save every cent you have for the next few years because by then we will have NO health care because the country will not have doctors to take care of us.
Jon Stewart aka Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz is more biased in his reporting than anyone else I have probably ever seen. Of course he’s a so called comedian. His reporting borders on comedy and if anyone ever took another more out of context, it’s him. J. Stewart Leibowitz sucks no matter what his politics are. To me h’s a sham. His illusion of political punditry is here to stay unfortunately, in the form of uneducated one-liners and photo captions. The power of trivializing everything. What the hell is so great about that? He’s an entertainer and not a good one at that and please don’t refer to him as a journalist. If he wants to become a journalist, fine, but he would need to go back to school first and finish his so called comedy degree.

I thought the irony in my post was fairly self-evident.
This Week: Karl Rove and David Plouffe Spar Over ‘Mission Accomplished’

In an extended "This Week" segment in which Obama adviser David Plouffe and Fox News contributor Karl Rove traded talking points, there were a few fireworks right at the end. After Rove spent most of his time attacking the CBO (a sport of political convenience), and Plouffe pushed back against the idea that Democrats would be better off letting healthcare reform die, the pair revisited a Bush-era battle over the "Mission: Accomplished" banner.
