MSNBC Has a Countdown Clock Running for a Non-Televised Event
I get that cable news is fond of countdown clocks. But networks have been going overboard with them this election cycle. Clocks counting down to debates and then lying to us by not having the debate start at 0:00:00. Clocks starting over 24 hours ahead of the thing you’re counting down to.
But generally networks count down to things that they’re going to be able to show you when the countdown is up (i.e. primary results, debates). But MSNBC’s countdown clock fixation led it to kick one off during MTP Daily for tomorrow morning’s Donald Trump–Paul Ryan meeting.
The meeting that they won’t have cameras in the room for.
The meeting that we’ll all have to wait for probably an hour, maybe longer, to get details about.
There is a countdown clock on MSNBC that is counting down to something that will not be televised.
You can watch Steve Kornacki teeing up the clock above, via MSNBC.
