Cable news ratings, April 15, 2011:

•The big news that sent cable news viewership skyrocketing in recent weeks has cooled…and Friday nights have reverted to form, with MSNBC’s true-life prison documentary series Lockup beating all non-Fox News shows on MSNBC and CNN Friday night among viewers 25-54. The show’s 11 p.m. airing attracted 279,000 viewers, better than Rachel Maddow‘s 260,000 and CNN’s top performer Friday, Wolf Blitzer, who had 238,000.

•At Fox, Bill O’Reilly had cable news’ top show, with 619,000 viewers 25-54, but Greta Van Susteren (395,000) was third, edging out Glenn Beck (376,000).

Is this a new category – Non-Fox shows?

    “MSNBC’s Lockup”

Obama is in big trouble, the kids have lost interest in current events and prefer watching someone worse off than they are.

    “Non-Fox shows?”

Mediaite declared Fox unbeatable long ago and now concentrate on the “also rans”.

Watching that program is the only way a lot of today’s liberal, hipster kids will ever get to see their dads, or at least who their mom thinks might be their dad.

  • BeckFinallyDemoted

O’Reilly got a little more than double O’Donnell in the demo.
He used to get triple and brag about it on-air.

    Fox has peaked.

Lockup even beats all of the rest of MSNC and CNN programming.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Probably NOT wrong

I love the smell of libs burning in the mornings after
    ratings are posted.

Looks like Chink missed another payment!

Imagine the ratings if MSNBC would replace all their opinion shows with Cops!

  • Zakk

MSNBC – take the hint. You are good at documentaries and not news. Just stop trying, go with what you know. Child molesters and prisons.

They already did. It’s called The Ed Show.
