Rachel Maddow Obtains Notes Ex-Senior DOJ Official Reportedly Took Corroborating Comey Testimony
Rachel Maddow tonight exclusively broke down some notes her show obtained that appear to be from former Acting Attorney General Dana Boente.
As former FBI Director James Comey said last year, he not only took notes on his interactions with President Trump, but there were a few people who he spoke to, and Boente was among them.
Maddow went through the notes one by one, one of which concerns a “cloud as a result of Russia [business].” This would appear to be a reference to President Trump talking to Comey, as Comey relayed during his testimony, about the “cloud” surrounding him on the Russia issue when he’s trying to get things done.
She walked through more notes obtained from Boente that would appear to back up what Comey said, on the issues of 1) whether President Trump was under investigation, and 2) Comey’s discomfort about his interactions with the President.

Maddow also revealed in her reporting that Boente has apparently been asked to sit down with special counsel Robert Mueller for an interview.
