Release The Kagan! Jon Stewart Sums Up Elena Kagan’s ‘Vapid’ Confirmation Hearing

video

Need evidence that Elena Kagan has shown good judgment? In 1995 she wrote that the Supreme Court confirmation process was “vapid” and “takes on an air of vacuity and farce.” Well it appears that Jon Stewart agrees with that assessment, wrapping up a week’s worth of Kagan-mania on The Daily Show last night. He concluded the segment by asking “after four days of insinuation, obfuscation and very little illumination, where do we stand?” Well, not only does Kagan appear to have passed confirmation muster, but we now also have a funny clip for us all to enjoy below.

Anybody find this guy funny? Seriously
I must be out of touch, the guy has decent ratings on comedy central and is fairly popular, but again i scratch my head. For me, watching his show is like watching seinfeld, or everybody loves raymond or two and half men. The audience is laughing, but im sitting in my living room with a deer in the head lights look trying to figure out why it was or is so funny. Only thing funny i find about stewart is that salt & pepper hair he has going on that makes him look like the 1st zombie seen in the cemetary in the original night of the living dead movie…….that is all

I find this guy hilarious! He’s one of my favorite TV personalities.

By the way, I love Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Two and a Half Men…I was gonna say you must have different tastes in comedy, but…do you even have a sense of humor at all? Just wondering…

I bet you find yourself pissing your pants on the floor though to the Redneck Comedy Tour….am I right?

The only thing funny about this bit is that the bit itself is not very funny. Kinda like SNL.

I usually like Jon Stewart, but I find it anything but funny that Kagan thinks it is acceptable to ban books and she cannot find a legal reason why Congress cannot mandate what foods Americans should be required to eat.

RTB, check out Mitch Fatel. No politics in this guy. Just completely silly. You’ll cry. I promise.

Jackie, get bent. Open your teeny, tiny mind a little. R does not always equal redneck, trailer trash anymore than D always equals urban, gutter rat. They both shop at Wal-Mart. And as we all know, Wal-Mart is the dumpster of the world.

Personally, I find comedy mixing with politics a little dangerous for the uninformed. If you’re educated on both side’s ideologies, you can see how the comedy disarms people who haven’t formed views. It’s a mechanism for swaying minds one way or the other. Truly, comedy is one of the best forms of propaganda ever.
