Sally Kohn Rips Hillary’s Book: Should Be Called ‘Boring Choices’

Liberal columnist and CNN contributor Sally Kohn is not impressed with the recently released excerpts from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s forthcoming memoirs, Hard Choices. Kohn said the excerpts made the book feel like a “yawner.” She added that the publisher should have considered renaming the book “Boring Choices.”

Conservative political professional and CNN contributor Anna Navarro began by saying that Clinton’s book is going to provide her with a powerful vehicle to prepare her and her staff for the rigors associated with running for president. With that in mind, Navarro said, the book will likely be a success for Clinton.

While Kohn agreed that book sales will be strong, she was not sure if would be a success. “I, however, think this is going to be the most boring book ever in the history of the world,” Kohn said. “If this excerpt has anything to indicate, it should be called ‘Boring Choices.’”

“It’s safe,” she continued. “It’s dry. It’s not the book of someone who feels like they have to really get out in the political environment and fight for it and really give us interesting stuff.”
