Ted Cruz Is Still ‘Assessing’ Whether to Support Trump or Not

Ted Cruz has been relatively quiet after dropping out of the race, and he made it clear today he’s not yet ready to support Donald Trump.

Plenty of Republicans have already caved, including Paul Ryan, but the Republican whose family members were targeted with nasty Trump attacks is not quite there yet.

Cruz said today, “Like many other voters, I’m watching and listening and assessing what he says and what he does.”

When asked how long that assessment would take for him, the Texas senator said, “I’m giving it time and I’m watching and assessing.”
