VIDEO: David Letterman’s Monologue, Apology
Last night, David Letterman returned to the airwaves. There was joking, there was apologizing, there was apolo-joking (Sarah Palin), there was banjo playing. It was actually one of the best hours of live (to-tape) TV I can remember seeing. Hopefully you caught it, but if not, here is most of it: the monologue, the apology, the Top Ten, the interview with Steve Martin & Martin Short, and their colorful socks. At the end of it all, I think this is the takeaway:
“Through all of the heartache, and the attention and the embarrassment, I still feel like I did the right thing.”
