‘You’re a Trickle-Down Media Whore!’: Sam Bee’s Panel with Trump Supporters Was Absolutely Bonkers

On the latest episode of Full Frontal, Samantha Bee presented an interview she did with Donald Trump‘s supporters as she tried to figure out why so many love the man despite his parade of controversies.

Moving past the “racist thug” supporters that have marred recent Trump rallies with contention, Bee’s panel was a group of bipartisan, college-educated, and multi-ethnic people all bound by support for The Donald. As the panel turned its ire against the mainstream media, Bee explained that it is simply impossible for media to ignore Trump’s rhetoric encouraging violence against protestors and incendiary proposals like banning Muslims (“temporarily!” the panel shouted back to clarify).

The panel defended Trump, saying that his controversial moments with protestors, white supremacists, and angry retweeting were mostly results of generalizations, media bias, and being taken out of context. One supporter said that Trump was winning because he mastered the reality-show aspect of campaigning, which led to this particular exchange:

Bee: “So, you like his media whoredom?”

Supporter: “But you’re whoring off of his media whoredom. I think you’re kind of a trickle-down media whore because you’re just getting the remains.”

Bee: “So in the big bukkake of media, I’m the one at the bottom of the f*ck pile?”

Supporter: “I think that’s an accurate assessment.”

“No candidate can win with the racist, thug vote alone,” Bee noted in the segment.
