‘I Don’t Think Sex Trafficking’ Was One Of The Charges: Fox Anchor Pushes Back on Republican’s Brutal Attack on Hunter Biden

Fox News’ Martha MacCallum set the record straight Thursday after Rep. Pat Fallon (R-TX) claimed Hunter Biden was involved in “sex trafficking.”

MacCallum asked Fallon what he thought of First Lady Jill Biden claiming House Republicans were treating her son in a “cruel manner.” The House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Hunter Biden, who refused to sit for a closed-door deposition and is insisting he be deposed in public. The committee voted on Wednesday to recommend Congress vote to hold him in contempt. The committee is seeking testimony related to Hunter Biden’s business dealings.

“It infuriates me, Martha,” Fallon answered, continuing:

Because you know what was cruel? Hunter Biden was cruel to himself and to the American public and the American taxpayer. He chose not to pay $1.4 million in taxes that he owed. He didn’t do that. He chose to involve himself in sex trafficking. He chose to involve himself in hard drug use. He chose to sell, influence and pedal access to his father to the tune of millions of dollars. Many to our enemies — China for one.

And so this is all on him. And you know what? There’s gotta be consequences for your actions. So to sit there and say this is about addiction or Republicans trying to pick on him — we’re just trying to get to the truth and treat Hunter Biden just like any other American citizen.

“Looking at the things he’s been charged with, I don’t think sex trafficking is one of them. I know there are images with women, ostensibly prostitutes. Is that what you’re referring to when you say ‘sex trafficking’?” MacCallum asked.

Fallon answered in the affirmative.

“But he’s not been charged with sex trafficking, just to be clear,” MacCallum said.

“No, yes, but he participated in it,” Fallon continued. “All the evidence certainly shows that. Also, I think he was a foreign agent that failed to register. That’s more felonies on the federal level.”

“Yeah, that’s on the potential list,” MacCallum said.

“I think, Martha, he’s a career criminal. He needs to face the consequences of his actions.”

Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty in federal court Thursday where he was arraigned on tax charges. In December, he was hit with nine new tax-related federal charges, including failure to pay taxes and filing a false tax return.

The indictment also alleged that Biden “spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle rather than paying his tax bills” and “willfully failed to pay his 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 taxes on time, despite having access to funds to pay some or all of these taxes.”

The indictment cited Biden’s extravagant lifestyle that included “drugs, escorts and girlfriends,” but he was not charged with any sex trafficking crimes.
