Trump Thanks Roseanne For Thanking Him For Being Twice Elected For Her Birthday — More Chaos Ensues

Roseanne Barr and Donald Trump, Twitter
MAGA comic Roseanne Barr drew a slew of retweets and a flurry of proposed “Community Notes” when she posted on X that her birthday present was getting to meet “twice elected” Donald Trump on Friday — not to mention getting a brief screenshot post from Trump on his Truth Social in reply.
Barr celebrated her 71st birthday on Friday and replied to apparent well-wishes sent to her on X (formerly Twitter) to say thanks. In that post, she included a photo of herself with ex-president Trump, who was elected in 2016 and only in 2016.
“Thank you for the birthday wishes!” she wrote. “My present was getting to meet the twice elected President of the United States!”
The message drew thousands of replies and quote retweets from across the political spectrum.

Trump then thanked Roseanne for calling him “twice elected” in a Truth Social post.
Roseanne’s tweet also provoked a flurry of reactions in X’s Community Notes program, with multiple proposed notes for additional context, and several arguing no additional context note is needed.

Joe Biden, who is nine years older than Roseanne and won the 2020 election, and Trump, who is six years older than Roseanne and lost that election, will probably be the nominees facing off in 2024, when Roseanne will be 72, Trump will be 78, and Biden will be 81. None of which is particularly funny, either.
