Barstool’s Dave Portnoy Backs Trump Over Biden in Interview With Fox’s Will Cain: ‘It’s a No-Brainer’

Despite not liking either presidential candidate, Barstool founder Dave Portnoy revealed he will likely vote for Donald Trump over Joe Biden.

Speaking to Will Cain on Tuesday, Portnoy labeled himself a libertarian before briefly discussing his views and voting history. He also called voting for Trump a “no-brainer.”

“I would describe myself as a libertarian,” Portnoy said on The Will Cain Show. “I’m financially conservative, socially liberal; but I’m also a people person. I’ve said this many times: I don’t like either candidate we have right now. Having said that, it’s a no-brainer I would vote for Trump over Biden. That is not because I think Trump is the perfect guy for the job. I mean, Biden has dementia.”

Portnoy admitted that he was “very pro-Trump” in 2016 because he felt Trump would “break politics.”

“But I also want someone who’s gonna unite the country, and he’s wildly divisive,” Portnoy continued. “I don’t think most normal people want to live in this country that is wildly, wildly divided. And I think Trump will win and I don’t think that’s gonna bring the country together. There’s people who hate his guts no matter what he does.”

When asked if he thinks anyone can bring the country together, Portnoy said he likes Nikki Haley.
