Bill Maher Lists Where Dems ‘F*ck Up’ and Trump Wins — Including ‘America-Hating’ Colleges

Bill Maher listed a number of topics the Democrats “fuck up” and President Donald Trump nails — including his disdain for “America-hating” universities like Harvard — during the most recent episode of his podcast.

On Club Random, Maher told guest Rob Reiner he has no problem finding examples of the Trump Administration being “authoritarian.” But the HBO star said President Trump also has a natural “instinct” for identifying issues that the Democrats routinely mess up in the eyes of the average American citizen. Maher then shared a list of examples:

Like the border, like DEI was out of control, colleges, completely out of control. Elite universities, where the kids are raised to be these anarchists, America-hating anti-Semites, and there is zero diversity of opinion. The hypocrisy of “Diversity is the greatest thing in the world” except of what we think, where it’s also very important.

Reiner, one of Hollywood’s most vocal liberals, agreed. But he also said it was wrong for Trump to “force the federal government onto” universities like Harvard, which is currently squabbling with the administration over taxpayer funding.

Maher again sided with his dinner buddy in the battle against America’s elite colleges.

“If they’re getting taxpayer dollars and they are supposed to be therefore in the service of this country, to some degree, then yes, I think you have some right [to complain],” Maher said.

The podcast was not just full of compliments for Trump from Maher, though. The Real Time host said he disagreed with President Trump deploying the National Guard to Washington, D.C. to crackdown on crime.

Maher said it was “act IV” of Trump’s “slow moving coup” to have his own “private army in the street,” and that he was not that impressed that crime had dropped in recent weeks. That is supposed to happen if the National Guard is around, Maher said. He also said the move was a “textbook” authoritarian maneuver.

Reiner agreed with Maher, before adding the current administration has also been a “horror” for people who are in the U.S. illegally.

Maher and Reiner disagreed on whether Democrats should still talk to Republicans, though. Reiner said it makes no sense to sit down with people who do not believe 2+2=4, and Maher said that way of thinking is a dangerous “slippery slope” that gets us nowhere.
