‘You’re An A**hole!’ Bill Burr Absolutely Lays Into Howie Mandel Over Wild Ambush Interview With Alleged Half-Brother Billy Corgan

Bill Burr was not happy with fellow comedian Howie Mandel after his interview was crashed with a surprise appearance by Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan, Burr’s alleged half brother.

“You’re an asshole!” Burr told Mandel after Corgan showed up mid-interview on Mandel’s Howie Does Stuff podcast last week.

Mandel said he thought the appearance would be a “good surprise” after Corgan revealed Mandel told him Burr was fine with him coming on the podcast.

“Can this be edited out?” Burr asked.

Corgan revealed on a previous episode of Mandel’s podcast that his stepmother told him his musician father may be Burr’s father. Corgan cast doubts on the pair being related, but said his father did say he had a half-brother named Bill.

“Did you ever think the fact that I never told that story that, you know, maybe you shouldn’t?” Burr asked Corgan. “You know how many fucking, like, emails and crap that I got?”

Burr appeared almost as unhappy with Corgan as he was Mandel.

“Listen, you’ve done well for yourself, I’m happy for you, but I just would prefer if you just kinda didn’t go around telling these fucking stories. Like, why did you feel the need to do that?” he said.

Burr accused Mandel of simply bringing Corgan on for the “ratings.”

“I think we’re kind of on the same page in thinking you’re kind of a dick right now,” Burr told Mandel.

Burr called his father a “piece of shit” and hinted there may be truth to him and Corgan being related, but still slammed Mandel, accusing him of not being authentic in his repeated claims he was trying to bring them “together.”

“He’s bringing you in here, not because he’s trying to heal the bullshit that we went through growing up,” he said. “What was supposed to happen? Are we going to go play catch? We’re both in our 50s!”
