Lefty YouTuber Slammed for Halloween Post Attacking Charlie Kirk’s Widow: ‘Extremely Ugly Behavior’

Progressive YouTuber Kyle Kulinski posted a picture of a twisted Halloween costume mocking Erika Kirk, the wife of slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk — and was immediately treated to a series of searing replies questioning his humanity.

Kulinski, if you missed it, posted an image of a bogus costume titled “Fake Grieving Widow Grifter” on Friday on X. The bogus costume included a artificially generated picture of Erika Kirk in tight black leather pants, with her makeup running down her face and shirt while she holds a hat that is overflowing with cash, akin to a church collection plate stuffed with dollar bills; the fake packaging said it included  “fake tear drops” and “skin-tight black leather mourning pants.”

Joking about Erika Kirk, less than two months after her husband was shot and killed at an event in Utah, may have been a laughing matter to Kulinski, but it wasn’t to many on X.

That includes Turning Point USA’s Andrew Kolvet, the executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, who responded on Saturday by asking: “What is wrong with you?”

National Review writer Charles C.W. Cooke was appalled by Kulinski too.

“This is extremely ugly behavior, and you should feel ashamed of yourself,” Cooke replied on X.

Fox News contributor Guy Benson responded by sharing the post and saying, “Her husband was shot dead for his beliefs and this is how they’re treating her.”

Will Chamberlain, a prominent conservative commentator and a former staffer for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign to be president, shared Kulinski’s post with the following message: “They hate you, want you dead, and will mock your wife if one of their crazies assassinates you.”

And Emily Zanotti, a right-leaning writer who has worked for The Daily Wire and Fox News in the past, bashed Kulinski. “This is sick,” Zanotti said, before sharing that she barely remembers what she did or how she acted in the year after one of her children died. “She’s just living life one foot in front of the other. Leave her the hell alone,” Zanotti said.

A number of other users shared a picture of Kulinski smiling next to Kirk at Politicon. Many of those users included a similar response to the one below, from “Bluesky Libs,” saying, “It doesn’t matter how you treat them. They can know you personally and they will still dance on your grave.”

Kulinski’s initial post has been viewed about 3 million times since it was posted on Friday evening. The host of Secular Talk on YouTube, which has more than 2 million subscribers, has not apologized for the crass costume.

He doubled down on criticizing Erika Kirk on Saturday, posting a picture of her hugging Fox News star Jesse Watters and Vice President JD Vance, and asking, “What stage of grief is this?”

He also posted a meme saying Kirk was going through the “normal 5 stages of grief: Pyrotechnics, Merch, Podcasting, Grifting, and Acceptance.”

Kulinski’s posts come a few days after Kirk was joined by Vance at a TP USA event at Ole Miss. And Kirk will have her first sit down TV interview since the killing of Charlie Kirk with Watters on Fox News on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
