Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) stood firm on her remarks regarding Rep. Al Green’s (D-TX) “pimp cane,” even as she faces punishment from a foe across the aisle.
Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) moved to censure Boebert on Monday, “for her racist and derogatory statements about Representative Al Green.”
Appearing on Real America’s Voice show Stinchfield Tonight on Tuesday, the Colorado rep addressed her remarks and Houlahan’s looming censure to host Grant Stinchfield:
Rep. Houla-whatever. Houlahan, houla-ha, she has decided that she was getting far too many attacks from her base for voting against the censure of Rep. Al Green and decided to attack me for referencing his cane as a pimp cane.
And Grant, I stand by it. I have never seen Al Green actually use his cane as a support to walk — I have seen him shake it for years all throughout the capital during any meeting i’ve ever been present with him in and if that gold-plated cane isn’t a pimp cane I don’t know what is.
But maybe Houla-who is really the racist here. Are only Blacks pimps? Is that what I’m hearing? Are there no misgendered white pimps in America? Listen, It was a little slight to his cane and his gesture, his cane that was wielded at the president of the United States and if she wants to censure me over it, go ahead and try girlfriend. I have the American people who will show up, who will donate and re-elect me.
Boebert’s remarks were in reference to Green’s heckling of President Donald Trump during the commander in chief’s speech to Congress last month.
Green was removed from the House chamber as a result and slapped with a censure.
Trump later called Green a “fool,” adding that he should submit to an IQ test as a result of the outburst.
Speaking of outbursts, Boebert was famously ejected from a Denver production of Beetlejuice along with a male companion in 2023 after she was seen vaping and groping her date’s crotch. As she was removed from the theater, she reportedly asked security, “Do you know who I am?”
Following Trump’s address to Congress, where Al Green made a fool of himself shaking his cane, Rep. Lauren Boebert joined Grant and said Green was shaking his ‘pimp cane’. Now Rep.
