Border Czar Tom Homan Says ICE Agents Assaulted and ‘Doxed Every Day’ Now in U.S.

Trump Border Czar Tom Homan told reporters outside the White House on Thursday that assaults and doxing of ICE agents is way up, happening every day across the country, and that the administration of President Donald Trump plans to “take action” on it.

Speaking with reporters in an impromptu Q&A on Thursday, Homan covered a variety of Homeland and Border topics, including increasing numbers of reported assaults and instances of doxing — the exposing of personal details – of federal immigration enforcement agents.

The Department of Homeland Security on Thursday share on a post X with a video of spox Tricia McLaughlin appearing on Newsmax to discuss the Nashville, TN mayor Freddie O’Connell, a Democrat, whom the department says was engaged in both “obstruction” of law enforcement and “doxing” of agents.

In that post, DHS wrote that there has been a “413% increase in assaults” of ICE agents, a figure a reporter brought up with Homan later on Thursday, asking if it track with what he has been seeing.

“Yeah, the assault on ICE officers are high, the doxing of ICE officers are at an all-time high,” Homan replied. “And people always complain, some of you here say, why are they wearing masks? Because they’re trying to protect themselves and their families. They’ve got a dangerous job to do, and they’re being doxed every day across this country.”

“But it won’t be tolerated,” Homan said. “We’ve already shown, you put a hand on an ICE officer, you can be prosecuted to the highest extents of the law.”

Homan was likely referencing multiple recent situations, including the charges brought against a House Democrat related to a protest at an ICE detention center in New Jersey, over which Homan challenged Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Wednesday.

“So we’re not playing with any threats against ICE officers,” Homan said, adding that the administration is going to “take action” on doxing as well.

REPORTER: DHS says that assaults on ICE officers are up over 400%. Does that track with what you’ve seen? Can you speak to that?

HOMAN: Yeah, the assault on ICE officers are high, the doxing of ICE officers are at an all-time high. And people always complain, some of you here say, why are they wearing masks? Because they’re trying to protect themselves and their families. They’ve got a dangerous job to do, and they’re being doxed every day across this country.

I’ve experienced myself a hundred times, but I’m willing to take that because of the position I hold. And, you know we’re not running a popularity contest, we’re trying enforce the laws enacted by Congress, and do it in a smart, effective way.

So yeah, the assaults are up, but it won’t be tolerated. We’ve already shown, you put a hand on an ICE officer, you can be prosecuted to the highest extents of the law. So we’re not playing with any threats against ICE officers. Doxing, we’re gonna take doxing, we’re gonna take action on that also.
