BREAKING Trump NEWLY Indicted By Jack Smith In Election Crimes Case

Special Counsel Jack Smith filed a superseding indictment in the federal election subversion case against former President and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Tuesday.

According to Smith, the new indictment is meant to reflect “the Government’s efforts to respect and implement the Supreme Court’s holdings and remand instructions in Trump v. United States.

Smith is still charging Trump on the same four counts he was indicted on last summer — conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights — this latest indictment is meant to address the potential implications of the Supreme Court’s ruling presidential immunity ruling earlier this year.

In that ruling, the Court decided that presidents were immune from prosecution for acts stemming from their official duties at the head of the executive branch, but not immune from prosecution for unofficial acts committed while they hold office.

As MSNBC’s Adam Klasfeld noted on X, “A superseding indictment replaces an existing indictment. There are no new charges in today’s indictment against Trump here, only the same four leveled against him in connection with the 2020 election, tailored to pass the Supreme Court’s new test.”

Trump celebrated the Court’s ruling in the immunity case in July, declaring that that it marked “a really bad day for Deranged Jack Smith, the wacko prosecutor used for Crooked Joe Biden’s attack on his Political Opponent. Today, as in the past, the Supreme Court gave the Deranged One a high level SPANKING!”
