Conservative Radio Star Warns That China Is Stirring ‘Antisemitic Pot’ on the Right

Conservative radio host Erick Erickson warned that China is stirring and capitalizing on right-wing anti-Semitism — and name-checked two prominent far-right commentators — on Tuesday, the second anniversary of the October 7 massacre in southern Israel.
“I forget who first pointed this out, but it is important. as Candace Owens, Tucker [Carlson], etc. spread their ‘Jews control everything’ propaganda on the right, it isn’t really Qatar that benefits, but China,” wrote Erickson in a post on X. “The Chinese have stirred the antisemitic pot, adjusted the TikTok algorithm to amplify antisemitism, etc..”
“All the people on the right suddenly blaming the Jews are not looking at China and the voices spreading the propaganda are silent on China and its influence operations,” he added.
Both Owens and Carlson have been widely viewed as propagators of anti-Semitic ideas and conspiracy theories in the two years since the October 7 attack.
In recent days, Carlson used the occasion of Charlie Kirk’s memorial to state that “a bunch of guys sitting around and eating hummus” decided to kill Jesus, while Owens has made a number of false claims about Kirk’s views on Israel and relationships with other advocates of the world’s only Jewish-majority state.
In other notable instances, Owens has suggested that there is a “small ring of specific people” in Hollywood and “potentially” Washington, D.C. who are “using the fact that they are Jewish to shield themselves from any criticism”, and erroneously asserted that Jerusalem’s historic Muslim Quarter was a ghetto in which the city’s Muslims are confined.
Meanwhile, Carlson has made a habit of questioning Jewish-American commentator Ben Shapiro’s love for his country, as well as amplifying the voice of World War II and Holocaust revisionist Darryl Cooper, whom he has referred to as “the best and most honest popular historian in the United States.”
