Dan Abrams to Host Democratic Candidate Forum With Cenk Uygur, Dean Phillips, and Marianne Williamson

NewsNation anchor and Mediaite founder Dan Abrams is set to host a forum with 2024 Democratic presidential candidates ahead of the Iowa Caucuses, minus the incumbent front-runner President Joe Biden.

Abrams will host the forum with three Democratic presidential contenders on NewsNation’s Dan Abrams Live at 9:00 EST on Friday, January 12th, just three days before the Iowa Democratic presidential caucus, candidate and participant Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks revealed on social media Friday.

Minnesota progressive Rep. Dean Phillips and 2020 Democratic candidate Marianne Williamson will also take part, Mediaite has learned.

Uygur sent out a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday afternoon announcing the news while encouraging the president to attend, adding he’s “welcome to join us.”

Last month three presidential contenders appeared together on Uygur’s progressive news network, The Young Turks, for a debate that lasted for an hour and a half on YouTube. According to Real Clear Politics, Biden is overwhelmingly the frontrunner in the primary race with an average support of 60%.

NewsNation hosted the fourth Republican presidential debate back in December in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, moderated by Elizabeth Vargas, Megyn Kelly, and Eliana Johnson.
