Fox News Reports That Kamala Harris Will Ignore Trump Completely In Final Countdown to Election Day: ‘Closing Fully Positive’

Fox News correspondent Jacqui Heinrich reported Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris would not mention former President Donald Trump by name during her final public appearances before Tuesday’s election.

Heinrich told the network’s audience on Your World with host Neil Cavuto she and other Fox employees noticed Harris referred to Trump only vaguely earlier while campaigning in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Reached for comment, the Harris camp told Heinrich that not referring to Trump by name was part of the VP’s closing strategy.

Cavuto tossed to Heinrich, who was in Philadelphia and had been tracking Harris during her final 2024 campaign events.

The host asked, “What’s the latest there, Jacqui?” Heinrich responded:

Well, Neil, we noticed yesterday in Michigan that the vice president never mentioned Trump by name even once. And today, a senior campaign official confirmed that that, in fact, is their new strategy. They call it closing fully positive. Here she was in Scranton earlier today.

Fox aired a pair of clips of Harris on the stump. In one, she said, “As he pointed out there’s a huge difference between me and the other guy.”

In another clip, Harris said, “You know, this whole era of this other guy. You know, what it’s done with all that talk that’s been about trying to have us point fingers at each other and divide each other. It makes people feel alone.”

Heinrich concluded, “Harris, though, has framed much of her campaign around a contrast with Trump, leaning heavily into that, instead of getting into the guts of her policy pitches. So, she’s having a bit of a hard time ditching the formula entirely.”

While Harris will reportedly not mention Trump by name again before Tuesday, the former president spent Monday attacking her record as vice president as he also campaigned in Pennsylvania.
