‘Marjorie Taylor Greene Is Full Of Sh*t!’ Eric Swalwell Lashes Out At Reporters Giving MTG Attention Over Speaker Threat
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) lashed out at Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and reporters who give her attention, telling SiriusXM host Dean Obeidallah that Greene is “full of shit!”
Greene has been threatening to oust Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on and off for weeks, but Democrats recently said they will sink such a motion if it comes up.
Swalwell was a guest on Wednesday’s edition of The Dean Obeidallah Show, during which he called out Greene and the Republicans, as well as reporters who allow MTG to “convene them” for “microphone moments”:
DEAN OBEIDALLAH: And Marjorie Taylor Greene just, well, she went from she’s not going to file a motion to vacate — and we’re recording this in the afternoon — a short time ago, she had a press conference that she will. By next week. That could change by the end of the day.
What is going on? None of us understand what is going on here. Can you just make sense of this?
REP. ERIC SWALWELL: Marjorie Taylor Greene is full of shit!
She has said for the last couple of weeks that she’s going to throw Speaker Johnson out. And that’s because she just wants more chaos. She’s not in the solutions business. She just wants more chaos.
And she doesn’t have, you know, backup to do it. And so, if she can have, you know, another microphone moment where reporters make her relevant and she can convene them, and just contribute to the chaos in Washington, she’ll keep doing that, and she’ll keep saying that this is going to come. And, of course, she’s not going to be able to do that.
And I think, Speaker Jeffries and I say that because functionally he has acted as the speaker, that Jeffries and Whip Clark and Chair Aguilar, by coming out yesterday and saying that they would move to table this and take this issue off the table, essentially, shows that we want to get shit done!
Like we’re the ones that provided the votes to lift the debt ceiling. If we didn’t provide those votes, America and the world would be in economic collapse.
We are the ones who have provided the votes that have avoided every shutdown that Republicans have tried to take us to.
We are the ones that provided the votes to expel that biggest fraudster to ever come to Congress, George Santos.
And we are the ones that provided the votes to keep Ukraine in the fight. So of every vote of consequence, this Congress, we’ve shown that we want to get things done and they’ve shown themselves to not be serious.
And so I really admire the leadership that we have, who said, you know what, we’re not aligned with Johnson politically in any way. But we want to get things done. And so we’re not going to let a chaos agent like Marjorie Taylor Greene just gum up the works here.
