Marjorie Taylor Greene Stuns Bill Maher Show With ‘Jewish Space Laser’ Confession

Comedian and pundit Bill Maher and his guests were stunned when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) confessed that she was ignorant of a key fact when she made her now-infamous post that many have labeled a “Jewish Space Laser” conspiracy.
On Friday night’s edition of HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, the interview guest was Dan Farah, writer, producer, and director of the documentary “The Age of Disclosure.”
The panel guests were Michael Moynihan, co-host of “The Fifth Column” podcast and host of interview series “The Moynihan Report”; and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Republican congresswoman representing Georgia’s 14th district.
During the “Overtime” segment, Maher confronted Greene about the infamous Facebook post, and the table was shocked to learn she did not know a pretty major little nugget about the story:
BILL MAHER: I mean, you’re famous for, and I don’t think you ever said the words, “Jewish space laser.”
REP. MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE (R-GA): No, I never did.
BILL MAHER: But and I and I know I don’t trust the media ever. When I hear something like that because I know there’s always something more to it. Now when I hear the more to I still might think it’s crazy. I’ll be honest with you. But I don’t know. What is the fuller version of that that I don’t know. When. I just heard Jewish space laser and you never said those words. I never did. OK. But what were you talking about.
REP. MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE (R-GA): I made a post in 2018 on my Facebook page and talked about a very interesting new technology where they were harnessing the sun’s…
BILL MAHER: Who’s they?
REP. MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE (R-GA): This company–.
MICHAEL MOYNIHAN: Jews.
REP. MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE (R-GA): No.
MICHAEL MOYNIHAN: Joking! God! She’ll still talk to me!
REP. MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE (R-GA): You might get accused of (INAUDIBLE).
MICHAEL MOYNIHAN: No, the Rothschilds, she said. Come on.
REP. MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE (R-GA): Back then, I didn’t even know the Rothschilds were Jewish. This was, I didn’t know.
MICHAEL MOYNIHAN: You didn’t??
REP. MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE (R-GA): No, I was, no–.
BILL MAHER: Oh okay–.
REP. MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE (R-GA): I did not. Before politics, I, I do not know much of any of this stuff. But I was commenting on this technology. That’s all I was talking about. I never even said the word Jewish in the Facebook post.
BILL MAHER: Right. I mean, just so you know, Rothschild, to a lot of people, is almost synonymous with the word Jewish.
REP. MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE (R-GA): I had no idea.
BILL MAHER: Right. Well, now we know.
REP. MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE (R-GA): Now I know it’s Jewish.
BILL MAHER: That’s what I’m here for, to make sure that people in Congress know what the f**k you’re talking about, okay.
