‘They Were Very Close’: Victim Recalls Epstein Boasting About His Friendship With Trump
An abuse survivor of Jeffrey Epstein said the convicted sex trafficker frequently boasted about his close friendship with President Donald Trump.
On Wednesday, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) held a press conference on Capitol Hill with countless Epstein victims. Throughout the presser, the victims detailed their experiences with the late financier and sex trafficker. They also criticized the Trump administration — and Trump himself — for its recent cooperations with Ghislaine Maxwell.
When the conference was opened up for questions, CNN’s Manu Raju asked survivor Chauntae Davies about Epstein’s relationship with the current president. Throughout the recent period of renewed interest in the case, Trump has tried to distance himself from Epstein and minimize their past history.
Davies, however, insisted the two were close friends when she said:
My first trip to the Palm Beach residence, I drove there from the airport with Ghislaine Maxwell and they — Jeffrey and Ghislaine — were always very boastful about their friends, their famous or powerful friends, and his biggest brag, forever, was that he was very good friends with Donald Trump. He had an 8-by-10 framed picture of him on his desk with the two of them. Like they were very close.
