‘This Motherf**ker’s Hitler!’ Iconic Black-ish Star Draws Fire From Fox Host Over Stunning Trump Rant Warning Black People
Fox News host Lawrence Jones and podcast host Stacy Washington slammed iconic Black-ish star Jenifer Lewis over a stunning rant warning Black people to vote because former President Donald Trump “is Hitler! And he did not come to play.”
Lewis, whose memoir “The Mother of Black Hollywood” illustrates her lengthy and influential career, spoke out during an episode of SiriusXM’s Mornings With Zerlina that has gone viral and outraged conservatives.
In a church-like exchange with host and former Hillary Clinton staffer Zerlina Maxwell, Lewis scolded Black voters who might be inclined not to vote, and exploded on Trump:
JENIFER LEWIS: Dear God, what have we done.
ZERLINA MAXWELL: Mmm!
JENIFER LEWIS: Oh I’ll tell you what we’ve done. We’ve spent time trying to decide what flavor ice cream we’re going to get.
ZERLINA MAXWELL: Mmm.
JENIFER LEWIS: Because there are 10,000 flavors.
ZERLINA MAXWELL: Right.
JENIFER LEWIS: We spend half our lives choosing. Trying to make a choice on bullshit. What movie tonight. Let me sit here for a half hour. No bombs going off. And we do nothing. We sit on our couches. “Oh, I don’t believe in voting.”.
JENIFER LEWIS: You fucking idiot!
ZERLINA MAXWELL: Mm!
JENIFER LEWIS: If that man gets in. As soon as he takes the oath, he will have generals walk down the steps of the Capitol. He will take a hammer and break the glass where the Constitution is, and he will tear it up in our faces. And say, “Now I’m the king of the fucking world. You will bow down, bitches.”.
He will punish everybody that didn’t vote for him. Let me tell y’all how I know this shit! I know it because I know what mental illness looks like! That mania is unstoppable! See. This motherfucker’s Hitler!
ZERLINA MAXWELL: Mm.
JENIFER LEWIS: He didn’t come to play.
On an edition of Fox & Friends this week, Jones and Washington objected to the things Ms. Lewis had to say:
LAWRENCE JONES: So Stacy the man was elected back in, good morning, back in 2016. What did he do to Black people then?
STACY WASHINGTON: I don’t know, invited us to the White House every single year? Which Biden has failed to do. I don’t know if you noticed that, Lawrence. President Biden has not yet had one Black History Month celebration where he invites Black leadership from across the country to the White House to hang out with him.
President Biden has invited many Black leaders to the White House — for Black History Month and other months — but Washington is likely referring to Black conservatives like herself and others with whom Trump met when he was in office.
Jones went on to say “I think it speaks to what Democrats are feeling right now, which is panic. I mean, you’re seeing some polling that suggests that Donald Trump could get almost 30% of the Black vote. So this may be a method to intimidate, to fear, to tell them, don’t do it.”
