Trump Absolutely Melts Down at Critics of Alaska Summit in Late Night Barrage — Throwing Zelensky a Blunt Signal Hours Before Meeting

President Donald Trump unloaded Sunday night in a frenzy on Truth Social, blasting personal insults and rage-posting about criticism of his Alaska summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin just hours before he’s set to host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House.

With Zelensky and a European team that includes, among others, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz preparing to travel to the U.S., the president was still stewing over negative coverage of his Putin meeting as political opponents and media analysts spent Sunday panning his abandonment of ceasefire demands.

Trump started with an attack on the “Fake News” media who he fumed had framed his summit as a “major defeat,” rebuking critics of the summit as “sick.”

The post segued into a defense of his record on “CRIME IN D.C.” and claims he had now secured the “Southern Border”:

The Fake News has been saying for 3 days that I suffered a “major defeat” by allowing President Vladimir Putin of Russia to have a major Summit in the United States. Actually, he would have loved doing the meeting anywhere else but the U.S., and the Fake News knows this. It was a major point of contention! If we had the Summit elsewhere, the Democrat run and controlled media would have said what a terrible thing THAT was. These people are sick! They even want CRIME IN D.C., and other BLUE Cities throughout our Country, but don’t worry, I won’t let that happen. Just like our now secure Southern Border (ZERO illegals in last 3 months!), our cities will be Secure and Safe, and D.C. will lead the way!

From there, Trump zeroed in on Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT), who had called the summit “an embarrassment” in a Sunday interview with host Kristen Welker on NBC’s Meet the Press.

In the same post Trump also rounded on his ex-national security adviser John Bolton, who told CNN Putin had “won the summit.” Trump called both men “stupid” and added that turning up in Alaska was “very hard” for his Russian counterpart:

The very unattractive (both inside and out!) Senator from Connecticut, Chris Murphy, said “Putin got everything that he wanted.” Actually, “nobody got anything,” too soon, but getting close. Murphy is a lightweight who thinks it made the Russian President look good in coming to America. Actually, it was very hard for President Putin to do so. This war can be ended, NOW, but stupid people like Chris Murphy, John Bolton, and others, make it much harder to do so.

Next, the president managed to level a broadside at former President Barack Obama while sending a blunt signal to Zelensky that he could “end the war with Russia almost immediately.” Trump didn’t detail how, but Putin’s Alaska summit demands of territorial concessions and the White House abandonment of a ceasefire arrangement may serve as an indication:

President Zelenskyy of Ukraine can end the war with Russia almost immediately, if he wants to, or he can continue to fight. Remember how it started. No getting back Obama given Crimea (12 years ago, without a shot being fired!), and NO GOING INTO NATO BY UKRAINE. Some things never change!!!

Looking ahead to Monday’s White House meeting with Zelensky and European leaders, the president added:

Big day at the White House tomorrow. Never had so many European Leaders at one time. My great honor to host them!!! President DJT

But in a follow-up post, Trump put the boot into the media one last time:

The Fake News will say that it is a big loss for President Trump to host so many great European Leaders at our beautiful White House. Actually, it is a great honor for America!!! President DJT

The scattershot tirade soon veered into praise for himself:

One year ago, the United States was an almost DEAD COUNTRY. Now we are the “HOTTEST” Country anywhere in the World, the envy of all. What a difference a President makes!!!

He then sought some feedback from followers on his new patriotic décor:

Do the great American Flags I put up in front of both entrances of the White House look FANTASTIC, or what??? WOW, what a difference!!! President DJT

His account then fell silent.

If the pressure on Monday’s talks wasn’t high enough, Zelensky’s first visit to the White House since his public Oval Office spat with the president and Vice President JD Vance, last night’s Truth Social barrage will certainly have everyone walking on eggshells as Trump seeks a close on the conflict he vowed last year to end on his first day in office.
