Trump Gives Fox News Exclusive Interview Before His Victory Speech — Says Haley Should Drop Out

Former President Donald Trump gave Fox News an exclusive shortly after he defeated ex-Amb. Nikki Haley in the New Hampshire primary — and called on his rival to drop out.

The much-anticipated New Hampshire Republican primary was over barely more than an hour after polls closed, as Trump was declared the victor with what figures to be a convincing if not massive, high single-digit or low double-digit margin.

But within minutes of that call, Haley took to the lectern to deliver what sounded an awful lot like a victory speech, tearing into Trump and promising to fight on after finishing a not-so-close second to Trump.

Trump would not take the stage for more than 90 minutes following his victory, but he gave Fox News Digital an exclusive “shortly after” he was projected as the winner:

During an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital shortly after the race was called, Trump said he was “honored.”

“I’m very honored by the result,” Trump told Fox News Digital.

Trump said he was “looking forward to going against the worst president in the history of our country.”

When asked if he felt Haley would suspend her campaign, he said: “I don’t know, she should.”

“She should because, otherwise, we have to keep wasting money instead of spending on Biden,” Trump said. “If she doesn’t drop out, we have to waste money instead of spending it on Biden, which is our focus.”

“The party is very united except for her,” Trump told Fox News Digital of Haley.

“The party is very united and we’re looking forward to going against the worst president in the history of our country,” he said.

Trump also went on an extensive social media spree before and during Haley’s speech. He called Haley “DELUSIONAL” and hurled other insults at Haley as she spoke.
