Trump Rages at Harvard in Overnight Social Media Blast

President Donald Trump stayed up late on Saturday night to ratchet up his battle with Harvard University.

In a post to Truth Social just prior to 1 a.m. ET Sunday, the president took aim at the storied Ivy League institution — demanding the “names and countries” of all foreign-born students.

“Why isn’t Harvard saying that almost 31% of their students are from FOREIGN LANDS, and yet those countries, some not at all friendly to the United States, pay NOTHING toward their student’s (sic) education, nor do they ever intend to,” Trump wrote. “Nobody told us that! We want to know who those foreign students are, a reasonable request since we give Harvard BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, but Harvard isn’t exactly forthcoming. We want those names and countries. Harvard has $52,000,000, use it, and stop asking for the Federal Government to continue GRANTING money to you!”

On Thursday, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced a ban on foreign students at Harvard — accusing the university of “fostering violence, antisemitism, and coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party.” after Harvard defied a list of demands from President Trump such as expelling pro-Palestinian protesters and cutting DEI programs. On Friday, federal judge Allison Boroughs temporarily blocked the Trump administration from implementing the ban, after Harvard filed its second lawsuit against the administration in as many months.

But the late-night Truth Social post suggests Trump isn’t giving up in his battle with Harvard. On Friday in the Oval Office after the temporary injunction had been issued, Trump accused Harvard of lowering its admission standards to allow “troublemakers” to attend.

“The students can’t add two and two and they go to Harvard,” Trump said. “They want remedial math, and they’re going to teach remedial math at Harvard. Now, wait a minute. So why would they get in? How can somebody that can’t and has very basic skills, how do they get into Harvard? Why are they there? And then you see those same people picketing and screaming at the United States and screaming that they’re antisemitic or they’re something. We don’t want troublemakers here, but how do people that can’t — when Harvard comes out with a statement that they gonna teach some of their students remedial math, that’s basic math, that’s not the deal.”
