President Donald Trump branded Harvard University “very antisemitic” and floated diverting “Three Billion Dollars of Grant Money” to trade schools instead on Monday as he doubled down on his demand for the names and nationalities of all international students at the institution.
The president took to Truth Social on Memorial Day, just hours after a blistering screed against “SCUM” Democrats and “USA HATING” judges to float diverting the university’s funding to trade schools across the country.
I am considering taking Three Billion Dollars of Grant Money away from a very antisemitic Harvard, and giving it to TRADE SCHOOLS all across our land. What a great investment that would be for the USA, and so badly needed!!!
In a further post, he went on to accuse Harvard of hiding “radicalized lunatics” on campus and slow-walking the release of foreign student data.
We are still waiting for the Foreign Student Lists from Harvard so that we can determine, after a ridiculous expenditure of BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, how many radicalized lunatics, troublemakers all, should not be let back into our Country. Harvard is very slow in the presentation of these documents, and probably for good reason! The best thing Harvard has going for it is that they have shopped around and found the absolute best Judge (for them!) – But have no fear, the Government will, in the end, WIN!
The demand would affect nearly 7,000 international students, almost one-third of Harvard’s enrollment. The administration, citing vague national security concerns, has already attempted to bar the school from accepting foreign applicants and threatened to revoke student visas.
The attacks come as part of a broader campaign by Trump to recast higher education as a hotbed of “anti-American” and “pro-terrorist” ideology. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem accused Harvard of “coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party,” while her department claimed the university “created an unsafe campus environment” for Jewish students amid pro-Palestine protests against Israel’s war in Gaza.
U.S. District Judge Allison Burroughs granted Harvard a temporary restraining order Friday, calling Trump’s demands a “blatant violation of the Constitution” that would cause “immediate and irreparable injury.” A separate ruling this week also blocked the administration from revoking foreign students’ legal status nationwide.
