Vladimir Putin Invited to Join Trump’s Gaza Peace Board, Kremlin Says

Trump Chiefs Met With Putin Honcho On Peace Plan To Access Billions Frozen In EU

Russian strongman Vladimir Putin has reportedly been invited to take a seat on President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace for Gaza.

The Kremlin claimed on Monday that Putin had received an invitation to join the council, which is set to be chaired by Trump and already includes former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The commission is being established by Washington to oversee Gaza’s future reconstruction and political direction.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Putin had “received an invitation through diplomatic channels to join this Peace Council”, adding: “At the moment, we are studying all the details of this proposal and hope to have contacts with the American side to clarify all the nuances.”

A draft charter reported by Bloomberg on Friday sets out a centralized power structure with Trump serving as the board’s inaugural chairman and retaining sole authority over which nations are invited to join.

The draft also grants the chairman sweeping control with Trump set to determine the group’s official seal and resources.

Around 60 countries have been invited to participate, but permanent membership will be restricted to states willing to contribute $1 billion.

The White House also confirmed Friday that three of Trump’s closest diplomatic advisers would sit on the board, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

The invitation to Putin comes as the president also attempts to broker a peace deal that would end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
