President Donald Trump made a veiled threat to “kill” Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a Truth Social post on Tuesday.

“We know exactly where the so-called “Supreme Leader” is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump wrote.

Trump went on a wild posting spree midday Tuesday, also appearing to confirm that the U.S. is involved in Israel’s war effort against Iran.  Trump wrote:

We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured “stuff.”  Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.

He quickly followed that post up with another that declared, “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”

Trump has ratcheted up his support for Israel’s campaign against Iran in recent days and made a series of eyebrow-raising statements. On Monday, he called for Tehran, the second largest city in the region, to evacuate immediately, and on Tuesday morning, said “he doesn’t care” what his Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, has to say about Iran’s nuclear program.

This is a developing story and has been updated.
