Trump Takes Victory Lap After MSNBC ‘Finally’ Axes Joy Reid’s Show: ‘Obnoxious Racist!’

President Donald Trump wasted no time taking a victory lap after MSNBC announced that it would be canceling Joy Reid’s show, The ReidOut, and the host would be leaving the network – branding Reid a “mentally obnoxious racist” and demanding the network pay for “damage” done to the country.
On Sunday, Variety and The New York Times reported that Reid’s 7 p.m. weeknight show is being canceled and will air its final episode this week. Mediaite has confirmed, through a source familiar with the changes at MSNBC, that Reid will be leaving the network completely as a result. She has been a host with MSNBC since 2014, and has piloted The ReidOut since 2020.
Trump, of course, relished the moment.
Taking to Truth Social he attacked Reid and other hosts, like Rachel Maddow, while bashing the whole network as “nothing more than an illegal arm of the Democrat Party.”
Lowlife Chairman of “Concast,” Brian Roberts, the owner of Ratings Challenged NBC and MSDNC, has finally gotten the nerve up to fire one of the least talented people in television, the mentally obnoxious racist, Joy Reid. Based on her ratings, which were virtually non-existent, she should have been “canned” long ago, along with everyone else who works there. Also thrown out was Alex Wagner, the sub on the seriously failing Rachel Maddow show. Rachel rarely shows up because she knows there’s nobody watching, and she also knows that she’s got less television persona than virtually anyone on television except, perhaps, Joy Reid. Then there’s, of course, the LOW IQ Con Man, Al Sharpton, who has, perhaps, the lowest TV ratings in the history of television. What is he doing to Brian Roberts to stay on the air? This whole corrupt operation is nothing more than an illegal arm of the Democrat Party. They should be forced to pay vast sums of money for the damage they’ve done to our Country. Fake News is an UNPARDONABLE SIN!
Reid has been a vocal critic of Trump on- and off-air. After Trump’s assassination attempt last summer, she suggested on live TV that the shooting might have been staged. The clip went viral, fueling backlash.
Inside the network, however, the abrupt cancellation blindsided Reid’s staff, many of whom found out about their show’s fate, not from executives, but from leaks to the media.
MSNBC President Rebecca Kutler was forced to convene an emergency virtual meeting with staff after leaked audio from the meeting, obtained by Status founder Oliver Darcy, captured staffers venting their outrage and disbelief.
Kutler insisted Trump’s attacks had “nothing to do” with the decision to cancel The ReidOut but part of a broader programming shake-up.
