Two Down, One to Go? Trump Calls on ‘Authorities’ to Investigate Adam Schiff on Heels of Comey and James Indictments

Two down, one to go? President Donald Trump railed against Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) on Sunday morning, suggesting that he violated “so many laws, and protocols,” and urging the “necessary authorities” to investigate him.

“The Ukraine Impeachment (of me!) Scam was a far bigger Illegal Hoax than Watergate,” declared Trump in a post on Truth Social. “I sincerely hope the necessary authorities, including CONGRESS, are looking into this! Adam ‘Schiffty’ Schiff was sooo dishonest and corrupt. So many laws, and protocols, were violated, and just plain broken!!! President DJT.”

Trump’s call of an investigation of Schiff comes on the heels of his Department of Justice’s indictment of former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James. Comey was indicted last month on one count of making false statements and one count of obstruction of justice for allegedly lying under oath to Congress. James was indicted last week for bank fraud and making false statements to a financial institution.

The evidence against both Comey and James was presented to a grand jury by U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia Lindsey Halligan. Halligan was appointed to her post last month after her predecessor, Erik Siebert, stepped down after refusing to prosecute James.

In a September 20 post on Truth Social that was reportedly meant to be sent privately to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Trump wrote:

Pam: I have reviewed over 30 statements and posts saying that, essentially, ‘same old story as last time, all talk, no action. Nothing is being done. What about Comey, Adam “Shifty” Schiff, Leticia??? They’re all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done.’ Then we almost put in a Democrat supported U.S. Attorney, in Virginia, with a really bad Republican past. A Woke RINO, who was never going to do his job. That’s why two of the worst Dem Senators PUSHED him so hard. He even lied to the media and said he quit, and that we had no case. No, I fired him, and there is a GREAT CASE, and many lawyers, and legal pundits, say so. Lindsey Halligan is a really good lawyer, and likes you, a lot. We can’t delay any longer, it’s killing our reputation and credibility. They impeached me twice, and indicted me (5 times!), OVER NOTHING. JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!! President DJT
