WATCH: Massive Walkout at the UN as Netanyahu Takes the Stage

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faced a massive walkout on Friday morning as he addressed the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York.

Axios global affairs correspondent and CNN analyst Barak Ravid revealed there would be a walkout protest shortly before Netanyahu gave his speech, which the Israeli leader claimed he was broadcasting throughout Gaza directly on people’s phones.

“One of the things that we’re going to see is a massive walkout when Netanyahu starts talking. The Palestinian mission to the UN has been working on it for a few days now to get more and more countries to agree to join a walkout, a walkout from the speech to just leave in protest when Netanyahu starts talking,” Ravid reported.

Ravid posted an image showing the UN room ended up mostly empty as Netanyahu spoke.

Dozens of countries walking out did not stop Netanyahu from delivering a defiant message on his war against the terror group Hamas in Gaza, saying Israel is committed to its fight until Hamas is eliminated. He also slammed countries that have recognized a Palestinian state amid the war.

“This week, the leaders of France, Britain, Australia, Canada and other countries unconditionally recognized a Palestinian state,” he said, adding, “when the most savage terrorists on Earth are exclusively praising your decision: You didn’t do something right, you did something wrong, horribly wrong.”
