WATCH: Tesla Cybertruck Owner Confronts Vandal Caught Putting Stickers on His Car: ‘Be a Man!’
A Tesla Cybertruck owner was seen confronting a man he caught vandalizing his car with “curse word” stickers by the vehicle’s Sentry Mode external cameras in a tense video posted this week.
Tesla vehicles and dealerships have been increasingly targeted by individuals protesting nationwide against the company’s owner Elon Musk, who has been leading President Donald Trump’s federal cost-cutting efforts as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Trump has threatened prison time for people who attack the vehicles.
In two videos caught by Christian Kirk’s Cybertruck cameras, edited by the owner into a post that was set to the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme, the man can be seen subtly walking past the vehicle and slapping stickers onto the side before Kirk decides to track the man down to a coffee shop.
“Hey, how you doing? You like putting stickers on cars?” Kirk asked.
The man replied: “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
But Kirk presses him: “You don’t? Yeah, I got a video of you. You don’t know?”
“No,” the man repeated.
Kirk continued: “OK. That’s fascinating. I’m curious what your motive is because, like, I get in the car with my kids, there’s curse words [that] people are putting on my car. I got you on video – twice!”
“I don’t have anything to say about it,” the man said.
“You should, man. At least defend your position,” Kirk said. “Like, be a man, have a debate with me.”
As the man began to walk away, Kirk pursued: “You don’t want to continue the conversation? But you started the conversation. Right?”
“Well, I don’t have anything else to say. I don’t have any comment,” he said as he left.
The Tesla owner then follows the man outside to challenge him again, accusing him of putting something on the car before the video cuts to the man standing with police.
Kirk posted the video publicly on a ‘Tesla Cybertruck’ Facebook group, where he was praised for taking the man to task. The clip later went viral on other platforms. Cops are not pressing charges, but have the man’s name on file, according to Kirk.
“If this guy vandalized your Tesla in St. Louis area, check w Kirkwood PD,” he added.
