A rental truck exploded in the middle of a residential neighborhood in Illinois over the holiday weekend — and somehow, the driver escaped with only minor injuries.
The shocking video — captured in the Chicago suburb of Addison, IL, on Saturday morning — has gone viral on social media. The stunning footage shows the truck making its way down a residential street before suddenly bursting into flames.
Incredibly, the driver escaped with only minor injuries, according to WGN. Four homes were reportedly damaged in the blast. Local authorities told WGN the explosion was caused by a leaking propane tank inside the truck.
Authorities added that the explosion has been deemed an accident — as they found no signs of suspicious activity causing the blast.
