WATCH: Trump DOJ’s Alina Habba Insisted They Would Release ‘Incredibly Disturbing’ Epstein Info — Including ‘Names’
In the wake of the Justice Department memo (first reported by Axios) which stated that there was no Jeffrey Epstein client list and that he wasn’t murdered, an old clip is making the rounds in which a prominent member of President Donald Trump’s DOJ made statements contradicting the new findings.
Back in February, Alina Habba — then a counselor to the president and now the interim U.S. Attorney for New Jersey — appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored and talked a very big game about what was coming down the pike in the Epstein probe.
“It is incredibly disturbing,” Habba told Morgan. “We have flight logs, we have information, names that will come out.”
“Is it going to be shocking?” Morgan asked.
“I don’t see how it’s not shocking — that there were so many individuals that were hidden and kept secret and not been held accountable,” Habba said. She added, “I believe in accountability. So you have to now go through your process. Now, I won’t say they’re guilty until they go through their time in court. But again, now it’s time for accountability.”
Habba also put the onus squarely on FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi (whose past comments on the Epstein investigation have also been coming back to haunt her) — insisting they would follow through.
“I really believe that now with Kash and Pam, there will be accountability,” Habba said.
And Habba left no room for ambiguity on what she meant by “accountability.”
“Do you think by releasing information from these files, we are likely to see criminal actions being taken?” Morgan asked.
“Absolutely,” Habba replied. “I think it would be negligent for us not to.”
She added, “to hide lists, to protect political friends, all of that, we don’t have time for that.”
Morgan shared a clip of the interview and cast some skepticism on what his guest told him.
“Hmmm… what happened?” Morgan wrote.
And numerous MAGA influencers likewise called out Habba:
