‘We Have to Act Fast!’ Trump Promptly Doubles Down On Pressuring Pam Bondi to Go After His Political Enemies

Shortly after his stunning Truth Social post in which he publicly pressured Attorney General Pam Bondi to go after his political enemies more swiftly, President Donald Trump promptly doubled down.

Speaking with reporters outside of the White House en route to a speech in Virginia Saturday night, the president — who had just posted “JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!!” against a number of his political foes — made clear that he does not believe the wheels of justice should turn slowly when it comes to cases involving his rivals.

“Are you criticizing Pam Bondi for not going after your political adversaries?” A reporter asked.

“No, I just want people to act,” Trump said. ” They have to act and we want to act fast. You know, they were ruthless and vicious. I was impeached twice. I was indicted five times. It turned out to be a fake deal. And we have to act fast! One way or the other. One way or the other. They’re guilty, they’re not guilty, we have to act fast. If they’re not guilty, that’s fine. If they are guilty, or if they should be charged, they should be charged. And we have to do it now.”

Approximately one hour before those remarks, Trump — on social media — named several of the enemies he wants Bondi to target. Included on the list were; Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA), former FBI Director James Comey, and New York state Attorney General Letitia James (D). It was Trump’s frustration over the investigation into the latter which resulted in the resignation of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Erik Siebert. Top Trump administration officials reportedly turned the heat up on Siebert to bring charges against James for alleged mortgage fraud. Siebert refused to do so and announced his resignation.

Trump announced Saturday night he is appointing Lindsey Halligan to replace Siebert.
