‘You Can Hear That Gunfire’: Fox’s Trey Yingst Reports From Inside Gaza With IDF Troops
Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst was among a small group of journalists that were taken into Gaza by Israeli troops, and delivered a report with footage of IDF troops that are now on foot in the attack against Hamas.
On Saturday’s The Journal Editorial Report on Fox News, Yingst introduced the footage he captured while being escorted by IDF troops in Gaza.
“Today, for the first time in 29 days, the Israeli military allowed a small group of journalists into the Gaza Strip to see firsthand their operations against Hamas. Take a look,” he said to introduce the report.
“Right now we’re with the Israeli military in an armored personnel carrier. The Israelis have cut the Gaza Strip in half. They’ve fought their way to the Mediterranean Sea and encircled Gaza City. They’re waiting now for the orders to go further in,” said Yingst as the recorded clips began.
Several times in the report gunfire can be heard in the distance from off camera as Yingst is reporting from near Gaza city.
He shows scenes of absolute devastation after weeks of Israeli air strikes and the exchange of missiles between Gaza and Israel.
Yingst also speaks with members of the Israeli Defense Force, who say they are doing “everything they can” to find and free hostages still held by Hamas terrorists, and to ensure that another October 7 never happens again.
Israeli forces continue to receive support from the United States and the Biden administration, though the objections from the president’s party are becoming louder and more emphatic as the death toll rises in Gaza and the war continues.
